Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed here for one night at the end of my two-week tour of Peru. The hotel is located in San Isidro, which is a nice part of the city. It's a walkable neighborhood, but also a quick cab or uber ride to the touristy Miraflores and Barranco neighborhoods. There is shopping and restaurants nearby. Check-in was a breeze. For the quality of the hotel, the price was great. Breakfast is included, and it was decent. No complaints.

Aku hotel is located in one of the prestigious neighborhoods of Lima in San Isidoro. Hotel is nicely located in the business area of San Isidor and offers a good value for money. The rooms are clean with amenities. Staff are kind and breakfast is really good. A good choice for your business trips in Lima.

We started our trip in Peru at the AKU Hotel, small room but with anything you may need. Location is calm, but we found some really good restaurants walking distance. Quiet area, good for sleeping. The employees were suuuper nice and attentive. I don't drink coffee but my boyfriend says that it was arguably the best coffee from a machine he has ever had. And he has traveled the world.

This hotel is well located in San Isidro. The room is adequate, and the staff is kind, but not very proficient or knowledgeable. Particularly I had to review the bill carefully. going back would be ok. Breakfast is great.

We spent two nights in this hotel as a family of four. The staff were very friendly, flexible and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Decor was modern and neutral. Breakfast was excellent. Great granola, fresh orange juice, lovely fresh bread, lots of fruits and the usual eggs and bacon too. It is located beside a lovely park and beside the very interesting Museo Marina Nunez Del Prado if you like sculptures. We walked 2 minutes to the nearby Tante restaurant for a nice dinner. They turned around our large bag of family laundry in about 6 hours.

A solid option for a 4-star hotel in San isidro. The bedroom was large, modern and clean. The breakfast (included) was OK, far from superb, but does the job. I recommend it to family and friends (for the same price - $80).

Stayed for a week on a business trip. The location is the best part of the hotel, since you can access many restaurants and commercial outlets in walking distance. The food was OK, buy not gourmet. The rooms are small buy updates, clean and with the required amenities.

We booked through expedia and paid about $100 per night in Match. The rooms are tiny. Everything else was good. Nice service and clean. The stuff speaks moderate English. The neighborhood the hotel is at, San Isidro and a good and safe place.

Very satisfied with Aku Hotels. It's got great location if you need to stay nearby San Isidro's business hub and the room is spacious and good. Also, breakfast was quite good (not great, but good and enough). But the best is the cheaper price it charges comparing to nearby options, which might offer quite much the same. Hence, Aku Hotels has great value for money. I'd go back there for sure.

Of all the hotels I stayed in Peru, this one sucked the most. Rude staff, disgusting breakfast, bad quality bed sheets, small rooms, badly constructed (you can hear your neighbors cough and the beeping from the safe). We stayed on our first night to Peru and slept horribly not only because pillows were so damn hard, sheets like sandpaper but also we could hear all the noises from every other guest in the hotel, including one guy puking!!! I obviously complained at reception the next day and they just smiled and sad sorry but didn't take on any accountability..I suppose what could they do? Reinforce the walls? They COULD stop being cheap and pretend to be a cool boutique hotel and at least invest in quality bedding and add value and a decent breakfast!!!! What exactly is luxurious about this hotel? It should NOT be 4 or even a 3 star, it is a 2 star! Soaps etc were ok but plumbing was bad and water smelled, bad quality parts used throughout from windows to drywall to sheets!! The only value of staying here is the location, San Isidro is relatively nice. But on our way back from the sacred valley we stayed at another 4 star hotel in the area, another boutique which starts with the letter F and it was wayyyyy better. Sheets, comfort, food, even a complimentary drink at the bar!!! Sorry folks but if you stay here bring your own sheets pillows and ear plugs!!!
