The hotel staff was very nice, facilities were brand new, very basic but nice and extremely clean. WIFI was spotty and only located in the lobby despite being "available" in the rooms. Breakfast each morning was very nice. Easy walk to the Larco Mall

We stayed at El Tambo for one night at either end of our trip to Peru and found it to be perfectly adequate for our needs. The hotel is located in a reasonably quiet part of the Minaflores area on a road that is easy to find a taxi etc and about 30 mins from the Plaza Major in the...

We stayed here in May of 2014 at the beginning and at the end of our trip. The hotel is located in safe area of the city, 10-15 min walk from the busy center, 10-15 min walk from the boardwalk and Larcomar a fancy nearby mall. It has a nice courtyard, elevator and the service is accommodating. Breakfast consisted of...

Not a great hotel but perfectly adequate for one night. Everything very clean. Staff at front desk very helpful. Breakfast more "international" than we found in the rest of Peru i.e. a bit boring but perfectly adequate. Good location.

Front desk staff did not make eye contact with us during the entire 3 days of our stay. Food was miserable. And the on site restaurant rarely had any business..understandably. Nobody working there appeared to want to be there. We were placed on the 3rd floor with the remaining rooms on our floor occupied by teenagers, slamming doors and yelling...

We stayed there with our group. Probably we slept in the worst room of this boutique hotel on ground floor right beside the restaurant. That room shouldn’t have been given the guests. Anyways after long hours on the flight to Peru we slept without any distractions. Our friends were happy with their rooms. Other than world brand name hotels most...

We had a one-night stay-over at El Tambo and were given room 303 right on the street. Cars and buses arrived all night until the early morning hours dropping off busloads full of guests. The guests were very noisy and banged doors and chatted in the corridor. The rooms are not sound proof and have no air conditioning. There are...

Nice hotel in a good location in a pleasant area of Lima (Miraflores). The breakfast was the best we had in Peru in the courtyard garden next to some lovely planting. Hummingbird's feed from the nearby flowers while you have your breakfast - lovely! The staff were very pleasant and can call the local money cahnger if you need to...

Small hotel in pleasant location in a safe area of Lima. We enjoyed the juiciest fresh fruit for breakfast next to the little garden. We watched a humming bird sucking nectar from the honeysuckle whilst we ate. The staff had little English but were very helpful. The only negative was the room insulation as we were disturbed by other guests...

My partner and I stayed here for a week over the New Year period. The location was good. It was easy to explore Miraflores and Barranco from the hotel and it was in a nice area. The hotel itself was fine, but nothing special. The room was nice and spacious with a double and single bed and a good bathroom...
