Pleasant and clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and actual hot water (though you have to let the staff know 10 minutes ahead of taking a shower, which makes morning or late-night showers more difficult). We had a great stay, and would definitely return when in Iquitos. Only drawbacks: you can't cook in the kitchen, and there isn't a proper...

This hostal is in an incredibly great location. It is right near the river, right near Dawn on the Amazon (a great restaurant to eat at by the way), and right near the main plaza. The staff are very friendly but unfortunately do not know much about tours in the area.** The value of the hotel is quite good. We...

This little hostel has so much going for it, and yet it was disappointing. It is well located, and it has basic, yet decent rooms. When we arrived the room was clean, and everything worked well, though we never had any hot water during our stay. The attention was lacking though: the room wasn't made up during the day, the...

You get what you pay for! Clean room, air conditioning, comfortable bed and quiet location (yet one square far from Plaza de Armas). The location is excellent, one can walk to the Malecon, Main square and travel agencies.

This was my first trip outside of the US. I was pleasantly surprised. We spent most of our days and nights in villages and in the jungle. We spent our first night at this hotel before heading out on our expedition. I had nothing else to compare this hotel to because this was my first night in Peru (other than...

The hostal is clean and quiet and centrally located in town. Plenty of transportation to wherever you want to go. Many restaurants near-by. (At Texas Rose Restaurant do NOT try the French Toast. Its not what you expect. Its not what you want.) The hostal has a bathroom with each room. They have showers. There is hot water BUT be...

Stayed here late NOV 2013, just after a few days in the jungle - clean room, hot showers, had the 50 Soles room and it was great. Location is excellent, right off the square, right off "boulevard" - it's a great budget option and AC will not matter after you've been in IQT over 48 hours - at least I...

Stayed here for one night before leaving for a five day jungle trip. When we came back for another two nights, we found out, that our bags have been carefully checked by somebody. We lost about 250U$ out of two Bagpacks, which were stored next to the reception (in service for 24 hours), in a little box with a proper...

We stayed here back in November before a trip into the jungle. The room was not large but big enough. The fan worked surprisingly well to keep us cool at night despite the heat and humidity. Bathroom was normal sized and clean. Wifi was... interesting - it looks like they route you through something else so we got messages saying...
