I enjoyed my stay at El Colibri, it's very clean friendly staff and you cannot ask for a better location. Due to this location it can be noise at night. I unfortunately did not get to stay there again at the last leg of my trip because they only accept cash no credit. Keep this in mind. Otherwise this very... More

Got a room on the top floor on the corner. It was extremely hot but that is also Iquitos. The fan worked, room was clean, breakfast is an option. Computer downstairs free to use. I found it a little bit pricy. Staff was extremely helpful!

For $24. I got a room here. No A/C, just a noisy fan but at least it had an old TV with cable. The bed did kind of suck. I really didn't get any rest that night because I wasn't aware that the weather in Iquitos was so hot. I would probably stay somewhere different or pay more for a... More

Nice location, free water ( on the ground floor), breakfast option if you want. Rooms come with a fan which was enough for me. I was next to the street which can get noisy but I had ear plugs. I also had issues closing the window. Staff seem accommodating, so if you had issues I'm sure you could move.

A secure and clean hotel with good management just a few blocks off the Plaza and the Malecon, where whatever is going to happen, will happen. In the winter, a fan blowing directly on the bed will make the sultry evenings bearable, and block some of the hundreds of moto-taxis roaring down the streets outside. A decent breakfast at a... The rooms are clean and with airconditioning if you wish. The staff do not speak English very well but they are helpful and attentive to your needs (you can use Google Translate on your phone to try to communicate with them if you are unable to in English - it worked fine for me). The rooms are cheap and the... More

The hostal has a nice atmosphere thanks to building it is situated in and the decoration. It is very clean and the staff is friendly. One disadvantage is that it doesn't include a shared kitchen, while the word 'hostel' would imply otherwise. Overall definitely a recommendation.

Hostal el Colibri was a good budget hostal. Good wifi, air conditioning, basic necessities - there's a bit of noise from the street throughout the night. Centrally located. Front desk staff are friendly. Would recommend as a budget accommodation.

I think this hostal was really good, the rooms was fine and there was aircondition (which was very important!). But the staff was not very forthcoming in the reception, and that's why I give it 4 out of 5. The not-included breakfast is great, and recommendable.

We stayed at El Colibri several nights. Coming from backpacking in the Andes to the tropics, we opted to pay the extra 20 soles for an air conditioned room. It was worth every sol. We paid 90 soles for a matrimonial with private bath, first time on the 2nd floor, second time on the 3rd. The rooms, bathrooms and linens... More
