Jorge, the owner, is great. Very genuine and cheerful, always willing to give advice or directions and he has no ulterior motives like so many others. He has shared food and drink with me several times and always greets you. I paid 15 soles per night. The rooms are simple, there is a shared kitchen and some have to share bathrooms, but the price is great. More

it's very dirty. the sheets are not clean, either are the pillows, and probably not the mattress, although I did not want to smell it to find out. i could not sleep because the bed smelled dirty. the owner is a kind of creepy older man. there are a lot of drugs here. mostly marijuana, but could be other things going on too. the owner smokes as well. i have heard around town that he pays off the police to look the other way, and so they allow guests to use drugs here. if that's your scene, you might be ok with this place... there is a kitchen, and a common area, in both of the locations ( i have visited both, trying to find a decent room, but I ended up not staying the night, and just leaving my stuff in the room instead, as it was so dirty) they have showers with "hot" water ( it's the electric kind, be careful not to shock yourself) and the common areas looked relatively clean.

the owner also pays taxi drivers a commission to bring people here. so...
