Some blocks away from the main Plaza, you can find Casa Esmeralda, a beautiful hotel with probably the best staff in Cusco. Extremely kind and helpful, everything was fine. Cozy rooms, great water pressure in the bathroom and an outstading breakfast. Try the pasta as lunch or dinner too, it was pretty fine!!

My stay at this hotel was very comfortable. First of all, Gerson at the checking counter was a very pleasant person and welcomed us warmly every time. In addition, after finishing the check in to the hotel, he delivered a welcome hot tea to the room. It was super nice welcoming greetings.
This hotel is in a very quiet area. Although it was cute place, it felt very homely. The interior was stylish and very clean.
The location is a bit far from the center of Cusco. But it was about a 10-minute walk to the Plaza de Armas. Also, most tour companies picked us up at our hotel, so we didn't have to travel anywhere to meet tour bus.
Also, when we were in trouble with the cancellation of the Macha Picchu tour due to a mistake by a tour company, both Guido, the hotel managers and Gerson kindly called the tour company and intervened to explain the cancellation. Unfortunately, we were unable to join the original tour but thanks to the hotel's support I was able to join another tour.
I highly recommend this hotel for its homely atmosphere and friendly staffs.

Awesome place to stay with very friendly and helpful staff!
Gerson was amazing since we made the booking.
He started chatting and asking if we needed help with anything else and we surely did so he kind of organised most of the stuff for us!
Transfers, laundry, booking of tours, booking restaurants and massages and even a private tour he did with us!
Super happy with his honesty and services.
Definitely recommended hotel with nice breakfast!
About 1km from city center on a quiet street which was exactly what we were looking for.

Lovely boutique hotel. Very clean and quiet. Easy walk to downtown about 15 minutes. Breakfast had fruit, yogurt, granola breads cheese and meat and what appeared to be homemade jam. Also juice and coffee. You can also get eggs to order. All included with room. Staff were very helpful. Coca tea always available. It was a little hard to find as the address numbers are not sequential. Up to date rooms and tv

Such an amazing find in Cusco,We decided to move here after a few days at a noisy hostel and was treated so beautifully by all the staff we extended our stay for 3 nights. The casa is brand new, with a lovely bright and warm feel, the bed is amazing as well as the towels and bathroom amenities. I love when TV's are adjustable as well as easy side access for HDMI ports. The price is great as well as breakfast but the real standout is the staff, Eric especially goes above and beyond for any needs you have and is always happy for a chat. There is delicious fresh coca tea available for all guests. It's located a few blocks away from the centre but its only a 10-15 min walk or a $2 taxi ride. Maybe in a few years they will decide to have room service and a mini fridge for the room. So happy we found this gem, highly recommend staying here if your looking for friendly vibes, with modern fitout and a little more peace and quiet. There is also a supermarket and pharmacy around the corner as well as a nice street market with fresh fruits and alike.

We were additionally spoilt as its our honeymoon, with rose petals over the bed, a love heart made of towels and a bottle of champagne. So this really was a 5/5 experience. I hope much success comes to this beautiful establishment.. .

Though this hotel was clean and new, we were extremely disappointed with the service. We had booked 5 rooms and prior to undertaking the Inca Trail, went to the hotel (which in comparison to our other hotel, was quite far from the main area and in a bit of a dodgy neighbourhood) to confirm our reservation.
Upon completion of the Inca Trail, we arrived to find they had given away 2 of our 5 rooms?! Even after confirming a few days prior. When questioned about it they could not provide a clear answer and then demanded we pay them on the spot for our rooms. They were extremely rude considering we had every right to question why they had given 2 of our rooms away.
It was most definitely not a nice way to end a wonderful trip to Cusco. I would recommend staying elsewhere as there are many other lovely hotels with beautiful service closer to town.

We stayed here three nights in total, either side of a trip to Machu Picchu. Very nice hotel, great staff - friendly and spoke brilliant English. The restaurant menu was a bit limited, we had the pasta, which was nice. Breakfast was good. The rooms were clean and the wifi worked well. The only down side is the location, a bit of a sketchy area, about a 15 minute walk into the centre of town - take a cab at night. Despite that, would totally recommend.

After finishing a week of staying in hostels and hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, we decided that we should pamper ourselves on the last night before we flew back to the states.

Upon arrival we were greeted kindly and escorted to our rooms. The rooms that we saw were configured to be single beds, but upon further inspection we found that they could be separated. The host who was helping us offered to remake one of the rooms to the two double configuration if we prefer because one of the two rooms was hosting a couple of friends and not a couple. She also opted to just take us to another room, in which we decided to do to make it easier for the staff.

After not having more than 1 minute of hot water our entire trip at hostels, the rain shower in our very western bathroom was fantastic. I took a very long hot shower and it was given the circumstances so amazing it was beyond words.

The rooms were well laid out and had many features that are common in western hotels such as electrical sockets next to our night stands.

The hotel itself is nicely laid out and smelled very nice. Most of our hostels smelled like mildew and had a distinct grime feel. So being able to hang out in this hotels common room with beautiful decor and comfortable seating was quite amazing.

They also have a fantastic kitchen area with filtered water. Which is also very hard to come by in a lot of places.

As far as location, it's about a ten minute walk from the main square, the San Pedro market, and many other of Cusco attractions. The neighborhood it is in seemed pretty safe and the walk gets you a little extra feel of the city.

Upon leaving the staff was super helpful by getting us a taxi very early in the morning. In addition, they even packed us breakfasts because we were going to miss the normal breakfast hours.

All in all, a great experience. I'd recommend and stay here again! Thanks for the excellent service!

We had booked a "Deluxe Room", but they gave us a Standard room. We could look at their internal list and saw that. The room 101 is the first room and located at the staircase, so all other guests had to pass our room. We could hear their steps, talks etc. The hotel has no atmosphere, bald white walls, floortiles, no pictures or anything on the walls. There is no restaurant or bar, just a breakfast room, so when you get back in the evening, there is no place to sit and have something to eat or drink. You hear noises from the next room. The room has very little storage space so you have to live out of your suitcase, but the room is so small, that you cannot leave it open. So you have to put it on your bed, take out what you need, close it and put it aside. The hotel is located in a narrow street with little light, so you don't feel safe going out in the dark, that means here after 6:00 pm. They even tell you to use a taxi. The center of Cusco is a 15 minute walk away and the surrounding area is not inviting. So you bette look for anothe hotel in Cusco!

Dear Guest : Thank you for taking the time to leave this comment, it is very important for us because it can helps us to improve our service. I am very sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay with us , we are very sad that you didn't like the floortiles they are inspired on the ceiling of a church in Cusco. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed the day you arrived but we do have a restaurant in the hotel. We only have two kind of rooms in the hotel Deluxe Rooms and Deluxe Premium rooms. We are taking note of your comment to improve hotel decoration, thanks again for taking to time to leave a comment and booking with us Best Regards

Boutique hotel, tucked away on a quiet residential street, walking distance from the central square and the tourist district. Rooms are small but sleek and modern; the sunny kitchen serves a wonderful breakfast, and cocktails and dinner in the evening. Woke up at night, needed water, walked barefoot to the kitchen to refill my bottle, the hall lighting was soft, the 24 hour concierge was friendly, felt like being at home.
