We recently stayed here in our journey to Machu Picchu. The hotel was a great oasis in our travels. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. The lobby was a great gathering spot with comfortable couches and nice plants. They also had complimentary coca leaves, coca tea bags and hot water for your arrival.

The room we had at the beginning of the trip was a Basic room and was find. Good sized room and large bed. Small but hot shower. It was very nice to start our trip.

The room that was had at the end of the trip was a Superior room and while the room and bed were the same, the room faced the courtyard in the back of the hotel with nice windows that opened for some fresh air. The bathroom was a little larger as well.

We also had took advantage of the included breakfast each morning. The buffet was large and had many selections including some vegan ones as well - a great way to start the day.

In addition, we took advantage of both lunch and dinner. The food was very good and we had excellent service by Edi, our server. He was very attentive and made sure that we enjoyed our meal and stay in Cusco!

One other note - the hotel has a purified water dispenser in the lobby, so make sure to fill up before you head out on your adventures!

This hotel is very nice. Breakfast has plenty of choice. Rooms simple but have everything you need. Wifi very good. Only drawback as rooms are placed around centralopen area, the noise can carry at night especially as lots of groups staying and lots of early movement. Might be an idea to supply ear plugs in rooms. Location very good.

We had the best adventure of our lifetime during our stay in Cusco and trip to Machu Pichu. Our room at the XIMA Hotel was big and beautifully furnished with the Incan style. The bathroom was large and the sink and vanity were in a separate alcove adjacent to the bathroom and shower. The buffet breakfast was large and included many varieties of fruit juices and breads and jams and ham and cheese and eggs. It was a wonderful start to a fun-filled day of adventure. The restaurant and bar were lovely, including a rocky brook flowing through with the tranquil sound of the water running over the rocks. The bar includes a large screen TV excellent for watching sporting events in the evenings. The food served at the restaurant was excellent. And most important were the wonderful people who staffed the XIMA Hotel, restaurant, bar and common areas. The service was impeccable! We would especially like to thank Brayan, Hugo, Frank and John for their kindness and exquisite service. They made us feel at home and went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable!

The room was a starndart, very nice, it had also a bath, so that made it very confortable. Location wise was very good, nearby stores and the temple of the gods. The staff at the hotel and in general was super nice always! and they were willing help any time. The breakfast was also nice and diverse, just the scrabled eggs could improve. We ordered spagethis bolognesa and it was very tasty, nontheless the price was a bit too much.

Our tour guide Elvira Quispe, put us in this hotel. What a great choice! It was clean and environmentally friendly. The soaps and lotions were made by Anyah an eco spa treatment. It even says “ let’s make the environment smile” on each product!
The bar was cool and welcoming and we had a Pisco Sour which is a Peruvian drink. It was really good!
We had dinner in their dining room and it was also delicious.
I highly recommend this place if you are going to Machu Picchu the next morning.

I found this particular Xima Hotel to be very welcoming, efficient, clean and in an excellent locality of Cusco especially for tourists …..taxis readily available, easy walking distance to the main square, access to good local restaurants, shopping for quality local craft and historical places of interest all close at hand. The accommodation though not large is clean, well equipped and well appointed, centred round an atrium with a skylight roof and a spacious guests’ arrival/waiting area by reception. The house bar is ‘cosy’ with excellent and efficient friendly staff as is the large adjoining dining room which has opening hours from 5am -10pm providing the usual fairly wide range breakfast and an interesting and varied lunch/dinner menu again with helpful and welcoming staff. The hotel is very eco friendly with solar panel heating etc etc. I can recommend this middle of the road value for money hotel……

Accommodations could be improved and cleaning standards raised for the price considering how many options there are. The tea is not available 24/7 and they no longer provide 2 water bottles a day but rather guide you to the water fountain, which while convenient still had fluoride and questionable standards for me personally.

I booked this hotel for the spa and while the services were nice and the space clean and relaxing, it again did not warrant the price in American dollars when you see other the options available elsewhere. I was really excited about the spiritual elements of the bath and facility, but didn’t feel like it was focused on and instead just an option for a photo op after our services. Also, I speak some Spanish but neither attendee spoke much English, so for somewhere that advertises a lot to Americans and English speakers, I would be advised when booking a treatment at the spa to practice your spa terms or bring someone along who can help :)

Breakfast and restaurant great, Hugo at the lounge and bar was awesome! Honestly our highlight was light night bites after hiking in the little lounge and the fantastic pisco sours courtesy of Hugo.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel after a long day returning from Machu Picchu. My room was nice and very clean. Sound proofing between rooms is not very good but it wasn't really an issue. It's an easy walk to the centre and there is a nice restaurant next door if you don't feel like going very far.
Breakfast included wonderful options, We Would stay again at this hotel.

This was a great choice of hotel for our second night in Peru. We were able to recover from the trip in a comfortable room with all the amenities. They even provided extra oxygen when a member of the family suffered from altitude sickness. The breakfast was excellent.
Well-situated about a 10-15 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas, it is also next to Wanchaq station, with is one of the main links to Machu Picchu.
Only concern, as in many larger hotels, there is a fair amount of door-banging and noise early in the morning as people set off for their early morning tours.

This is a very good hotel with excellent facilities including filtered water available in the large welcoming lobby. However the highlight for us was the attentive barman Hugo. He wowed us with his Pisco sours - and it became a nightly ritual to meet at the bar where Hugo looked after us superbly. Thank you Hugo for making our stay here memorable.

Not sure where that restaurant is but we walked everywhere in Cusco and never used a taxi. Totally safe as long as you exercise common sense caution as you would in any city.
