Cusco Oblitas Casa Hotel is located in what was once the palace of the greatest ruler of the Andes: the Inca Pachacuteq "The Transformer of the World", the same Inca king who planned and built Inca city of Machu Picchu as his summer residence. Cusco was the capital of the greatest empire in South America and had a sudden end due to the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors in 1532. Since then the mythical city of stone would be transformed according to European standards to make way for the colonial city showing characteristics of the syncretism of the two cultures. The name Casa Hotel refers directly to the facilities whose main components were from the Oblitas family house that still keeps the traditional and authentic courtyard houses of Cusco and the adaptation of modern facilities for the operation of the hotel. Our Casa Hotel is located half a block from the main square of Cusco, the best location to explore the city. We have 20 rooms all with private bathrooms and hot water; equipped with heating, cable TV, telephone, internet WI-FI. We also offer: room service, coffee, tea, laundry, safe, luggage storage, and currency exchange.

Lovely experience! The staff is so courteous! They bent over backwards to accomodate our needs! From selling water, to laundry, to holding our luggage, allowing us to check in early- their service was impeccable! All staff at the front desk including Monica were extremely friendly and helped so much! Breakfast was great! They were able to recommend restaurants, sight seeing options, arranged for taxis! Superb experience!

Front desk is always available and hospitable. Great location walking distance to the plaza and many sights. Rooms are cozy and comfortable. They provided a hair dryer and extra towel immediately upon request. Overall a clean comfortable stay

Starting with the better parts, location, and staff were courteous but only spoke spanish. We spoke enough spanish to get by, you may not. The mediocre, breakfast was overcooked and disorganized, but we figured that out the second day. There are security concerns, the doors have plastic windows in them which obscure direct vision, but are not very private, and which allow light to shine in at night. Locks are substandard, suitable for a home bathroom, forget to push the button to lock or your room is left open. The completely unacceptable: Bands begin playing loudly beginning at 10:00PM from a next door club completely not allowing sleep. You have been warned, you dont get to sleep here.

The location of the hotel is perfect, 2 minute walk to the main historic square (plaza mayor de cuzco).
We booked a taxi from the airport to the hotel for 30soles. The first night we were on the 3rd floor, the room was nice, but very bright during the night.
The following morning I asked if possible could we move rooms and they happily accommodated us into a room on the second floor.
The rooms and bathroom were spotless and had everything we needed and tv and Wi-Fi. We also availed of the laundry service which was extremely reasonably priced and returned on the same day. The hotel breakfast was also included and was very good.
Overall a great experience, great price and thanks to the ladies at the reception for being so accommodating! Would recommend this place for anyone planning on staying in Cuzco.

My boyfriend and I loved this hotel! The staff was so friendly, they have complimentary coco tea all day, nice hot showers (been hard for us in Peru), laundry service, and a cute hotel dog named Coco.

The hotel is very cute and peruvian style!

Pros: The location of this hotel is perfect for access to all Cuzco has to offer. The staff is helpful. They kept our bags while we hiked on the Inca Trail for 4 days and even let my husband sleep in a lobby on our last day when he was sick (we had to check out of the room when the next people arrived.) the rooms were spacious and clean.

Cons: The rooms are a bit run down and some have mold. The breakfast is OK, but is not refilled if you come in the last 30 minutes.

The hotel is very close to the "Plaza de Armas". It's cheap - don't expect much. The rooms are very small and they don't have a/c. The bathrooms are small, but ok. If a lot of guest are taking a shower you are not going to have water. You literally have to wait for them to finish. The hotel also has a small restaurant that it's ok. If you only want a bed to sleep, this is the place.

Stayed in Cusco for a few days with two buddies, spanning New Years 2016. We didn't book until a few days in advance, so almost every hotel and hostel was sold out of private triple rooms... then we stumbled upon this little gem. It's located a stones throw away from the Plaza de Armas, and nestled amongst restaurants, shops and tour agencies. We had such a great experience that we left our heavy bags in the hotel's storage room and returned for another night following our trek to Machu Picchu. Sufficient wifi, clean public areas, and a small restaurant and bar in house. Not sure why this place isn't marketed more widely... great value for its location.

This is a good hotel located very close to the centre of Cusco, rooms are big and bathroom is functional, breakfast was tasty and varied, unfortunately there was a small problem with hot water in the evening, which was solved after escalating the issue to the reception
