All the desk clerks spoke English. The hotel is 1 block East and 2 blocks South of the Plaza de Armas, which is the center of everything in Cuzco. All the other guests were Peruvians on vacation, and quite cordial. The room was clean, the water hot, and the included breakfast hit the spot. I felt secure on the streets...

Having stayed at Amanecer en el Sol before, I booked it again for my family's one night in Cusco. It's a simple, but nice hotel, and has all that travelers need : comfy beds & hot water! There are TVs in the rooms, wifi, water for sale in the lobby, and even tea for 1 sol if you want something...

Very nice situation but the worst hotel that I had during my trip in Peru. Cold, dirty, spots in the towels, noisy, terrible service. Bad breakfast, the bread was old and everything was dirty. You had better to stay in a hostel. They class it 3 stars I would not give a half star.

The hotel is on a small street called San Andreas about a 10 minute walk to the main square. And while the front desk was very helpful and accommodating the rooms are basic, almost threadbare. Altough for $30USD it was a good value. My first room only had windows that opened up into the hallway and no dresser or closet....
