You will need to know some Spanish here. Staff that I had contact with were not English speaking. Their cathedral ceilings made for noisy rooms around the center of hotel. I was lucky enough to be off the beaten path but we were right on the street so we had a lot of street noise. Not to big of a deal as we were touring all day and were just that tired. A friend stayed down the hall and her bathroom had a very bad smell to it. Water pressure DIED if there were to many folks taking showers at the same time. Breakfast buffet was decent...nothing fancy but adequate.

This is an older hotel with many levels and areas. I needed to move because I was on the lobby on the third floor and the noise was constant.
This hotel has some nice appointments, and the staff is very helpful, but the rooms which do not receive any sun during the day can be freezing! Even with a space heater and fully dressed, I was cold. It was winter.
On the other hand, if I wanted to stay in an American hotel and have creature comforts but have a room which looks like any American city, I could have.
Their breakfast was good, and the dining room was very nice. The beds were clean and tidy; the bathroom was large. Could use some more lighting in the room, but I was in Cusco and felt I had had a Peruvian experience. I can always stay at Red Roof Inn when I want. This was fine.

Stayed here for a number of nights. My room overlooked the lobby. The windows were not sound proofed at all so you could hear everyone talking in the lobby. It usually wasn't terrible, but in the evenings, and when groups were leaving in the morning it got loud. My room (205) also shared a common wall with a Karaoke bar that thankfully only seemed to be open on the weekend. It was loud enough I could hear the voices of the drunk patrons singing, from about 10PM to 1-3AM. The showers were hot all day except between 5-10 in the morning. Breakfast was pretty good, decent options and semi fresh. While the bed did slope a little towards the head, it was comfortable, and the sheets were clean. The staff were decently friendly. There was a definite lack of plugs in my room, so I had to unplug the TV to charge my computer. All in all, it was ok, nothing spectacular.

We had 30 travelers on a recent trip and stayed here one night. As with most hotels, they ask that room keys are left at the front desk when you go out for dinner, etc. Upon returning from an evening out our tour leader came back to his room and all his tour company money and personal money had been stolen. There was no forced entry - clearly a KEY had been used. The hotel management would take NO action. While a police report was being filed, the hotel had the room scrubbed and cleaned leaving evidence collection void. Then they refused to turn over the security camera tapes to the police citing a signed search warrant was needed. DONT risk staying here.

This is a kind of the worst hotel ever... There is a new building and an old building. MAKE SURE you stay in the NEW building. The old wing has NO hot water and the shower sprays in every direction except on your body. My students were then told to shower in a different room which also had no hot water. The students were then switched to a new room that had not been cleaned. We also left our luggage there to go onto Matchu Picchu. They never moved the luggage out of the old rooms and assigned us new rooms so for over an hour we played where is your luggage???

When we arrived at Villa Hermoza hotel we were shocked by the external aspect of the building that looked as it had not been renovated since its construction.
The impression was confirmed by the poor stage and horrible decoration of the hall, corridors, and the rest of the premises.
Initially we were offered a couple of completely outdated rooms, extremely noisy , as they had views to a very busy road, and with so called windows that did not insultate at all. After our inmediate complaint we were upgraded to better rooms that had windows to an interior backyard.
We could hardly sleep during the 3 nights spent there , as there were plenty of youngsters partying in their rooms, with little reaction from the hotel desk office.
The breakfast was shameful , with a watered juice, undrinkable coffee, and a very poor offer. Towels, toilet and amenities were of the lowest quality.
The positive aspects of the experience in this sad hotel, were the treatment received by the personnel that were always kind and helpful, the quality of the beds that were comfortable, and the size of the room.
To wrap up this is not a 3* hotel for a middle class family, but rather an old, outdated hostel for people that just want to do fiesta in Cusco (but not sleep, nor eat).

Room was not nice....Bathroom was so damp all day and night, floors wet constantly, hot water is hit or miss.
Location is GREAT- walking distance to all fun areas. Lobby gives a nice impression, breakfast was decent.
The rooms: I am not extremely picky- especially for a short stay- but these rooms were not comfortable.
Be sure to ask for hot water (it still will be hit or miss) and for them to turn on the heater. Plus- they do offer warm bedding.

While traveling on an educational tour, we stayed at this place and it had a nice lobby, the beds were a bit too hard for my liking, but I figured who cares, I'm in Peru! The staff was very helpful bringing extra towels, and the breakfast buffet had a lot of choices and was very tasty.
I would go back and stay again!

Great value for the price. Everything was adequate but bring ear plugs (I always travel with them) as walls were thin and groups head out to Macho Picchu early. Like we did at 4 am. Very clean, free breakfast buffet was above average. Hot water takes a long time to come so don't give up!
