The hotel is located outside the square where most of the restaurants are but it is about 15 minute walk there and I didn't feel safe walking at night to/from hotel. The hotel itself was nice, with friendly staff. However, if you have lots of electronics to charge, there wasn't much plugs. I stayed in a double occupancy room which...

The worst thing about this hotel is the location! Yes, it is only a 10 minute walk to the Indian Market, but then it is a mile up to the Plaza from the market. This is the 3 rd different hotel I have stayed in in Cusco and the rooms are really pretty interchangeable. This hotel does have the nicest...

The staff are very good. The breakfast is fairly basic but there is a great selection of exotic fruits and they start serving extremely early to accommodate people with early starts. The rooms can be cold and the space heater can take awhile to heat up the room. I stay at one room before going to Machu Picchu and another...

Cramped, cold, windowless room. Inadequate furniture for anyone in Peru for more than a night or two. Intermittent shower. Blankets which don't fit the bed. No drinking water. 30 minute walk through a run-down part of town in order to get to the centre of Cusco which is, after all, why you are there. Breakfast ok. Advice: pay a few...

We stayed at this hotel 2 separate nights. We were not very thrilled with the location, however, it worked out quite well for us. The hotel staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. We ate in the restaurant one evening because we returned too late from a tour. The food was very good. Our room didn't have a heater the first...

As the other reviews have stated, this hotel is a very authentic, clean, and wonderful little hotel, but I'd like to focus on my particular experience here. I was staying at the Mabey Palacio hotel in November and we had left very early in the morning to go to Machu Picchu. Imagine my anguish when I realized three hours later...

This hotel had everything I needed. Small tub/shower in roomy bathroom, larger tv with English channels, comfy bed, curtains that kept the light out, desk, closet with lots of drawers. Elevator wouldn't go to floor 3 but the staircase was lovely. Staff nice. Room service was a little problem. Person that answered phone didn't speak English. First time, order delayed...

We stayed here 3 nights and had a pleasant experience. The lobby welcomes you with attractive wood counter, spiral staircase and comfortable leather couches. The rooms were average, clean but not very quiet. Our bathroom had a vent in it that opened to several other bathroom vents which meant you could hear everything anyone did in the neighboring rooms. Not...

If you are looking for a place to sleep and a few amenities. This is the place. The bed is really the box spring...no mattress. The hotel is located at the end of the boonies. But it only cost $1 for the taxi to the Plaza de Armas. Breakfast was buffet style with spartan type of food. But nothing to...

Stayed here two nights on two different rooms. The room varied a lot, so make sure you have a good room (some rooms are noticable bigger). A lot of noise from traffic at night. Location is far away from downtown, even though taxi is 3 S. (~1 US dollar), it prevents you from wondering easily in the evening.

“We arrived and were given room 408 which was a windowless room on the air shaft , we were kept awake all night by kitchen noises from the hotel restaurant above . The next day we requested a new room and they obliged . Checked out next day for Machu Pichu and when we returned to Hotel Mabey we were given an even noisier room directly under the dining room .We were awakened at 4 am . This time we were not given another room . The hotel is in a remote area of town and there are many better options to choose .”
