This hotel was a decent place to stay at for our "layover" between Machu Picchu and Lima. The breakfast was decent along with the facilities. The staff was accommodating & provided us with everything that we needed. Our room was basic with TV but no fridge. A hair dryer is available in the bathroom but kept dying every 5 minutes,...

I had a nice time in Cuzco, the hotel Mabey was excellent, the neighborhood was ok. I could see lots of cops in the area, very safe, I went in and out of the hotel and I just can't complaint, is not too far from the main plaza (taxi fare is about $4.00 soles = US $1.50)..One good experience is...

Hotel is ok, staff ok, but it's in a bit of a rough looking neighborhood , no decent restaurant close by , the main square is far , and we heard gunshots and screams one night close by, the next day the hotel did have armed security added out front, so give them credit for that , but would prefer...

I read a review once that stated that all hotels in Cuzco and Aguas Calientes are geared for your one trip to Machu Picchu: since no one goes twice, they don't have to worry about it. I.e. if they can get three-star rating from you then well done. So, they got it. Maybe it was the season, or maybe it...

Next to a car parts shop with no eateries of worth nearby. 4 or 5 Soles for a taxi to the Plaza de Armas. I wept when we got here. We stayed here as part of our Charity Challenge trek to Machu Picchu for our first 2 nights and last night in Peru. The hotel is nice with very friendly and helpful staff, however, the hotel is in a very poor part of Cusco and it is not recommended to be walking around on your own. One night when we...

Not as close to the square as we would have liked ... This hotel was part of a package tour from Sunny Beach destinations travel, so not sure of the cost. However, it was adequate for a budget traveller. “We arrived and were given room 408 which was a windowless room on the air shaft , we were kept awake all night by kitchen noises from the hotel restaurant above . The next day we requested a new room and they obliged . Checked out next day for Machu Pichu and when we returned to Hotel Mabey we were given an even noisier room directly under the dining room .We were awakened at 4 am . This time we were not given another room . The hotel is in a remote area of town and there are many better options to choose .”
