Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The food was wonderful, the staff was friendly. It's a very nice place to eat. Most Mexican can upset the tummy but this kind did not :-). And I have to write 2000 characters and I'm out of things to say so this is me taking up space so I can tell you how good the food is

Booked a trip to the Rainbow Mountains in this Agency. The departure was planned at approx. 03:15AM in front of the office with a pick-up service. So we waited outside for the pick-up. After 1h waiting outside I tried to call the agent without any result. 30 minutes later we went back to our hostel and I called again. He answered and let me wait like 5' on the phone... after that he said in 5' the pick-up will come. So we get ready again and went outside and waited for another 15' when the agent himself showed up and told us that there will be no trip for us to the rainbow mountains for us... He told us that he will return us the paid amount for the tour and he will open at 7:00AM. Getting to his office at 08:30AM no one was there. Went 1h later and he had to call someone for the money and we had to wait another 15'... even if he had known since 5 o'clock that we will come to get our money back. In the end it is a wasted day in Cusco because we stayed thos additional day only for the Rainbow Mountains. At least he returned the amount paid. Not to consider the additional costs we had for this day like 1 night in the Hostel, phone call in the night etc...

I am really really disappointed of this incompetence. Better book your tour in an agency which is in the main square where they have more experience due to more customers...

This place was near the main square in the nice tourist area of Cusco. It was a very cheap option at 20 pesos per person. There was no one else there when we stayed. The dorm was basic and not that clean. The outside door is dodgy and leads into a dark hallway. The shared bathroom is poor - the shower is over the toilet and hot water did not work most of the time. There is no shared kitchen or common room. The receptionist was nice but had to call the owners mobile before answering any question. To sum up, a VERY BASIC hostel that I would not stay in again. It may be alright for a night if you are booking last minute and cannot afford something nicer.
