Just 5 min upwards from Plaza de Armas there is this nice, simple and very familar hostel in Cuszo. Indeed the nights can be very cold at 3000m so remember before you book a room with shared bathroom, you need to go outside at night if you need to go to the toilette.
We got some extra blankets immediately as we asked for them at our arrival.
Our 2-bed-room was nice and clean, the roomservice cleaned up every day. The small.
garden with a pavilion and hammock was the best place to take little brake. The hostel is all in all in a very quiet location. No party-people or traffic around.
The street is very small and steep, so if you order a tour it is possible, that the bus can not pick you up in front of the hotel, but either at the plaza 2min above the hostel or at the Paza de Armas.
Place notice, the following is quiet typical for Perú, so it's definitely not a negative recommendation, just for some international travellers to notice: Breakfast is simple compared to some other nations. There was coffee, tea, typical peruvian buns, strawberry jam and butter and omelette, if you ask for it. That's it. It is possible that when you want to shower, there is no warm water. That's not that unusual, wait for later or the next morning, when the water tank is refilled again.

We had a bedroom with a shared bathroom accessed via a communal patio garden. Modest space with all you need and nothing you don’t. There are thick woollen blankets rather than duvets. Coca tea all day self service for guests. 24h reception. Recommended!

The always greet you with a smile. They always want to help.

Breakfast is the standard bread, butter, jam and fruits.

Showers are hot. Beds are good.
Floors are squeeky. Dorms are clean.

Good location! Wifi always works.

Has an amazing garden with hammocks! :)

Probably the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. The room was beyond cold. The floor was made of stone which made it colder. I used my sleeping bag liner to add some warmth. Also slept in my long underwear, coat, and hat! Each room opened to the outdoors which means the shared bath was outside. Someone said they were changing to a private bath but decided against it when the room smelt like sewage. There was a sign during breakfast about eggs as well as ham and cheese. I thought that was included. It was not. After a disagreement, the lady in charge called booking.com and cancelled my reservation without my approval. I decided it was worth me losing a small amount of money and move hotels for my sanity.

This hostal located in a quite area of the city, and only few blocks away from plaza de armas. The staff was very friendly. The clean room, hot shower, and filling breakfast make my stay pleasant. Somehow it's a bit cold in the room and the layout of the shared shower room is not well designed for a comfortable shower.

A hostel in great location next to the PLAZA DE ARMAS , but in a quiet street. Very clean rooms (we stayed in a twin-bed room with bathroom), hot water and filling breakfast and good wi-fi. Nice big back garden with sofa. Very quiet in the night for good sleep. This is best choice for the price in cusco. The staff was really friendly and helpful.

We stayed for 6 nights - originally 1 but kept extending it as it was so good. Best thing is how lovely and smiley the staff are - always there if you need to ask anything. Hostel is secure with a locked front door and reception, plus a safe in every room. Rooms are simple but everything you need. Hostel has a very relaxing vibe with a beautiful garden. Always nice people staying there, good backpacker vibe without the partying - perfect for us.We were lucky and our room for the last 2 nights had a view of the whole city!! Room 6 - Incredible.

We arrived unexpectedly at 4.30am and no questions asked they gave us a bed and maté the coca which was a blessing after nightbus. Next day i got very sick, one of the ladies stood by my bed one hour waiting for the doctor to arrive. These people are very caring and friendly. Room good, nice location with view, garden with hammocks and hot shower.

We stayed here for one night whilst planning our Machu Picchu trip. Like others have mentioned, our bus arrived early morning, but we were invited into the dining room to warm up and given breakfast whilst our room was being prepared. The double room was good - a little cold but this was to be expected in winter and the bed was fine with a thick duvet. The location is perfect and Guillermo is a great host, even offering us free wine in the evening, whilst we enjoyed a football match on TV. We were also able to keep our luggage whilst at MP free of charge and pick it up on our return.

We stayed in the Kurumi Hostel for 5 nights, but with an interruption of a night, where we stayed in Aguas Calientes. It was no problem to leave our backpacks at the hostel without paying for it. The owner was very flexible and friendly. The hostel has a huge and wonderful garden where you can relax in a hammock or dry your clothes. Its rooms are big and there are enough blankets to stay warm, although it's very cold at night in Cusco. The first day we arrived early with the night bus and even got breakfast outside the breakfast hours. The hostel is located only about a 5 min walk from the Plaza de Armas, where there's plenty of possibilites to get groceries or restaurants. We had a really good time there and would stay there again.
