I stayed here for a couple of nights while I checked Machu Picchu of my bucket list. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was fine. Make sure you get a top-floor room to take advantage of the magnificent views.

We stayed at Hostal El Triunfo for two nights. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was nice - although unfortunately there was no hot water the one night. The best part of the Hostal is the location - it is located extremely close to the main plaza.

The hostal is clean, small and affordable. Only complaint is we couldn't find English speaking channels on television, although not really a problem. No time for TV in Cusco. Very close to Patty Irish Public, nice view of the streets, and some view of ancient architecture.

Hostal El Triunfo is an absolutely outstanding lodging option in Cusco. We booked it super last minute (as our plane was preparing for takeoff in the States), yet they were friendly and accommodating, and let us check in super early because our room was ready. The location is phenomenal – we could see the roof of the cathedral thirty feet...

Had a confirmed booking.com non-refundable reservation and was emailing the property prior to my stay where they confirmed my reservation. We arrived at 9:30PM and they didn't have our room and instead offered us a room at a dodgy hostel nearby (which was much cheaper but we needed to still pay the more expensive El Triunfo rate). We tried to...

We stayed here for 3 days, and loved it. The included breakfast with Elizabeth was very good, the evening receptionist very accommodating, English was spoken by the staff, modern bathroom, plenty of hot water, heater in the room, and the location was the absolute best. The staff gave us great recommendations on places to visit. Some minor nits: the rooms...

The room was comfortable and clean, hot water whenever we wanted. Excellent friendly staff. Breakfast was good. The location is the best--one block from the Plaza de Armas. No elevator so you have to walk up one or two floors depending on where your room is and no heat in room so it is brisk in the morning. Good restaurant...

It's a good cost/service hostel. Very well located the lady that works at night were very prestative and helped us to find a taxi to the bus station in a second. The wifi signal is very bad. The breakfest where ok. Don't expect the best cleaning service or elevador. To get at the reception you have to take some stairs....

I stayed in Hostal el Triunfo for three days and I absolutely loved it. The room was very nice, breakfast wasn't included like I'd expected but the rooms were gorgeous. Newly updated bathrooms, working cable tv, and helpful front desk staff.. They also helped us facilitate our Machu Picchu trip through the hostel... which was a huge help and saved...

We absolutely loved our stay in Hostal El Triunfo. Really excellent location a half a block from the main square in Cusco. The workers at the front desk were always really nice and helpful once we worked through language barriers. The breakfast was always fresh and tasty. The view from all of the rooms, especially the breakfast room was incredible!...
