Clean and nice place to stay $65US, includes free breakfast. Free luggage storage for trips to Macchu Piccu. Very pleasant bilingual staff. Beautiful courtyards and view. Pictures accurately depict where you are staying!
We stayed at Amaru 3-4 days, they have a really nice garden. We had two rooms during our stay and both where really nice. The personnel where great and always helpfull.

This hostel (in name only) is very close to the main square where you'll be most of the time while in Cusco. Rooms are clean, breakfast is good, fast wifi, nice layout of rooms.

Yes taxis stop at the front door although the lane is very narrow.The problem you may have is that although the hotel is pretty central it is half way up a fairly steep lane.The altitude is such is such that even fairly fit... More
Yes taxis stop at the front door although the lane is very narrow.The problem you may have is that although the hotel is pretty central it is half way up a fairly steep lane.The altitude is such is such that even fairly fit people tend to puff quite a bit when walking back to the hotel although it's only steep for less than a hundred yards. When down the hill it's about 10 minutes,or less, walk on the flat to the central square
