We stayed here 3 nights. The staff is really helpfull. Even when we had to get up at 4am in the morning to start our Inka Trail.
It is located not far from the historic center. Just a 10 min easy walk.

It was a nice hostel! The staff were super friendly and helpful even though we didn't know any Spanish and she didn't know much English, but she really tried hard to help us with a big smile on her face! This is the most important! When language becomes a barrier between us, there are still many other ways to communicate and make people feel included and valued. The only two thing we didn't enjoy was the wifi was down for the whole night and our rooms location made it really difficult to get reception from the phone carrier. But like I said the staff was trying to help us, this time was a young man working night shift. He did his best to help us! And the second was the water, the water pressure was constantly changing and there was no hot water when we got up for our tour at 2am.

Very clean accommodation and staff were welcoming on arrival. We had informed the staff we would be leaving early the next morning at 3am and they kindly agreed we could leave our bags and collect later on and pay later. We went to bed early given our early start and unfortunately were woken up at 10pm and asked to pay the balance of the room. Additionally despite staff advising they would be there at 5pm as agreed the following day, they did not arrive until 5.30pm which was a little stressful as there is no way to get in to the accommodation and we had a bus to catch that evening.

The hostel is very near the historical area and close to a lot of resturants and eating places. The host Jorge and family are very helpful and gonout of their way to help you with ideas for tours or sutes around the city. The price per night is excellent value as well as the breakfast. The hostel is very big. There is a lot of room to move around in the hostel. There is great views from some of the windows in the room.

In the beginning, David (the owner) seemed really great and nice. My three roommates and I lived there for 1 1/2 months. The location is great, but the landlord ended up being terrible. He promised a lot of things like hot water, cleaning service, wifi 24/7, and the return of our deposit. However, we went many days without hot water, over a week and a half without wifi, and he never returned our deposit. We emailed him multiple times a week to get the many different problems resolved; however, he never responded. We would have to run into him and talk to him in person to get any issue resolved. And half the time, the issue still would not be resolved or would take days to get fixed. For example, the wifi stopped working twice while we were staying here. The first time, it took 1 1/2 days to find David and another day to get the wifi fixed. The second time the wifi stopped working, David would lie to us about it being fixed and calling an electrician and it was still not fixed when we left the apartment. He promised us a cleaning service once a week and every week we would have to chase him down to get the cleaning lady to come. She still didn't come two of the weeks she was supposed to. I would highly recommend staying elsewhere. The place is also overpriced and you can easily find a better, more reliable place for cheaper.

Saludos

I had made a reservation online. At 2:30 am i received a confirmation email from Robert. In this mail he asked what time we expected to arrive. Ofcourse I was sleeping at 2:30 and I could not respond. At 11:00 am I sent him a response with my expected arrival time. When we arrived, however, nobody was present. After waiting for the entrance for 10 minuts, next to pickpocket and a very durty entrance, we were let in by a gast of the hostel. After telephone contact it turned out that they had already forgiven the room because I did not respond immediately (probably she thinks its normal to someone responding at 2:30 am). We had to look for a nother hostel.

Incredibly bad service and unfriendly staff.

We got there in the early afternoon and they did not have our reservation for us. Even though we showed them our booking (booking.com). I understand these things happen at times (I work in hotels), however the person at the front desk didn't speak a word of english and our spanish is conversational at best, so we had to make do with google translate. Basically, she offered us a hostel down the street at the same price (I guest the two have a deal). But it was weird because it seemed a little too normal for them. I looked at their booking page and it was super full. I saw their booking.com site as well and i could see my reservation on it, but not on their side. So it seems they overbook quite a bit on the normal. Wouldn't be the worst thing if it was an english speaking place and the way we had organized the trip. We had 2 days in Cusco , 2 days in MP, and then back to the same hostel in Cusco so we could keep our big bags there. So the next night we had to go back and cancel the room there and make sure we didn't get charged for the 2nd half of the stay and then talk to our hostel to make sure they could accommodate us another 2 nights. She was nice to walk us over there and assist us in carrying our bags. Not too upset about the situation, just more frustrating to have to change all the organization around to ensure we were still good on our end.

I was here with my girlfriend and it was a disaster !! No hot water for the shower, no radiator to get warm temperature in the room, bad Wi-Fi, little breakfast and employees impolite. Bad experience in an amazing city.

We stayed here one night and one night is enough. We arrived earlier than expected (10pm instead 11pm-usually in any other place it's not an issue as there's always someone at the reception.. We met closed door with vaguely written phone number sellotaped to the buzzer. Some kind lady (guest) opened the door for us. All our phones were dead-we were just after Inca Trail. We managed to call the owners and after 45min two funny fellows arrived, jumping up and down, with wide smiles on their faces... unfortunately, this was a bad timing. We weren't really in a good mood- thinking only about hot shower and sleep. The shower is a curiosum in it own meaning - combination of cables hanging right above your head - looks dangerous!
The building is historic and could use some kind of heating during colder months - we slept in our sleeping bags with hats and jumpers on.
It seems that this place just runs itself.

The Loft House was the perfect accommodation for us! It was great having 2 bedrooms, kitchen and a living room area. The decor was really cool yet cozy. The beds & duvets were very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the shower/tub was soothing & hot! The service was very personalized &accommodating & David went out of his way to make this a great experience for us. Upon arrival, he had coca tea leaves ready for us to help us acclimatize. He was available at crazy hours to greet us and to store our luggage while we did our trek. The location was very secure with multiple layers of locked doors. We only had good things to say about our experience!
