Located in the heart of San Blas, Cusco, the hostel offers cosy rooms, really hot water in the showers and a fireplace in the main dining hall where travellers like to gather and chat or share some quiet guitar playing and singing. The place overflows with arty details and quite righteously uses the name La Boheme. In the yard one finds a peaceful location for exercising or book reading, and should one get cold at nights the helpful staff is ready to prepare some warm bottles and tea. I loved the breakfasts which include freshly made pancakes and appreciated the help of the staff with arranging my tours etc. All hostel guests have a discount for the creperie located on the second floor of the historic building and the creperie itself is an amazing experience.
By the way, unlike some other hostels and even hotels, here, they have no trouble preparing for you a "breakfast to go" for your tours which start early in the morning and the breakfast to go includes some marvellous pancake too.

Myself and about 20 other people were stuck in Peru during the Covid-19 crisis. We were lucky enough to quarantined at La Bo’M with the owner, Sarah, and her employees.
We could not have been better taken care of. Sarah reduced the rates for all of us and provided free meals to us all during the 3 weeks we we’re stuck in Peru. She did all she could to make sure we were as comfortable as we could have been, given the circumstances - that we were inside the hostel for about 3 weeks unable to leave or even go outside. She and her staff provided movie nights for us, activities to keep our spirits up, and lots of variation of food each day. Without La Bo’M I think being stuck in Peru during a global crisis would have been much worse. I’m so grateful to have been there at La Bo’M - and I know I speak for the other 20 or so who were stuck there with me.

Sarah and her staff are part of our extended family now. Thank you Sarah, Marie, and the rest of the staff for everything!

We felt so cosy in La Bo'M, and the crew was so nice, that we wish for the quarantine to last for eternity.

We will come back in Cusco for sure. We can't imagine to choose another hostel.

See you soon Sarah, Mayou and Eduard !

This place is full of beautiful people and has a very cozy, bohemian atmosphere. You can chill in the garden with cute little humming birds, enjoy delicious crepes for breakfast (included), visit the restaurant (creperie) in the same building, enjoy the sunset from the balcony, get good recommendations for adventures and much more. I spent more than 3 weeks here during March and April 2020, parts of it during the quarantine, which was an amazing experience thanks to Sarah and the La Bom team! I feel like I met a new family here, and made friends and connections for life. I look forward to visit again!

This is a real paradise for backpackers and solo travelers. I had originally booked to stay here 3 days and finally i stayed almost 3 weeks. I love this place and the staff most of all! There is an amazing , welcoming , family atmosphere which makes you feel definitely at home. I met so many nice people and i got new friends. The crepes in the morning is an excellent addition. As well the creperie upstairs makes some of the best crepes i ve ever tasted. If continue talk about this place probably i never stop. Is the perfect place in a wonderful neighbourhood.
Thank you Sarah, Carmela, Diana, Anais, Quentin and everyone else for my great staying! Miss all of you!

There are so many better hostels in Cusco for the same price or cheaper.

Breakfast - is just 3 plain crepes - no fruit to go with it and no eggs. So no nutrition at all! As I'm celeaic, i couldnt have crepes so asked for alternatives and they gave bread instead!

Breakfast doesnt start until 8 either, which is late realtive to other hostels. They offered a packed breakfast if you are leaving early for a tour etc. As per picture, this is what we got for 2 people! 1 cold crepe for my partner and stale bread and a banana for me.

Rooms are ok. Standard size, ok bed. Really cold however and we stayed in March when it wasn't really cold outside. The rooms have windows that also face onto a central area so can be loud at night with the bar upstairs. Our windows also didnt have curtains so the lights were beaming in all night.

Toilets don't flush one night, which is disguisting. There's also only 2 toilets in the whole hostel so its a bit of a trek in the middle of the night.

Stay elsewhere!

Dear Guest, First, I would like to apologise on behalf of all the team because of your experience with us. There has obviously been a lack of clear communication from both sides. And I would truly appreciate if you could send us an email with your name and period of stay, as it would help me investigate further. Now, I would just like to grab this opportunity to clarify a few points. We do have breakfast options for people who have gluten intolerance / gluten sensitivie people , and I would like to apologise again for having failed at this point as I fully understand you felt uneasy with the bread that was offered to you as a replacement of crepes. Crepes aren't limited either at breakfast time, we generally serve three per person but you always have the possibility to ask for more. I would also like to highlight the fact that we have 5 shared toilets, not two, as you mentioned in your comment. Regarding the night when the toilets didn't flush, I would like to let you know that not everything is under our control as we are really dependant of the water system in our neighborhood. We always try to give a diligent service to each and every guest and to do our best with the antique house we rent and its inconveniences such as coldness. Heaters or extra blankets are always available at our reception. Once again, I'm sincerely sorry because of your negative exoerience while staying with us and I would like to thank you for your comment as it will help us improve our service and gain valuable insight and consistency. If you were to come back to Cusco, please feel free to pop by. We would be happy to invite you something in the creperie Sarah

Not much to add to other amazing posts about this place...warm showers with good pressure, the common room is nice friendly place to hang out and meet people or simply hang out and read a book. One of the rooms we stayed in (a twin room) was very warm through the night, but the double room was a little cooler.
Great common area outside too. very quiet and safe part of Cusco, lots of surrounding restaurants and cafes and only 5-10 mins to main Plaza De Armas, the only regret is that we didn't actually eat at the Creperia upstairs which is supposed to be amazing.
WIFI wasn't available in the rooms we stayed in but where in South America is it??
Awesome staff too. 101/10 would stay again

I've booked many things online before and I found their room reservation booking system to be alittle confusing, in the end it booked me for 2 rooms but that was corrected once we arrived.

The crepes in the morning are a nice touch, lots of tea and coffee and coca leaves available, even have a thermos in your room so you don't have to walk to get more. Staff was very helpful and they stored our bags for 5 days while we did the Salktantay Trek, they even packed us 2 lunch bags on the day of our trek! now that's how you keep your customers happy!
