Over a year on and we still reminisce about our time here. Great location. Great value. Well equipped kitchen to cook your own meals. It was the little details in the hostel that I found refreshing. Things that made me laugh or just in appreciating a bit of German efficiency in Peru! Ludwig was so helpful and accommodating. From helping...

I ended up here by accident - no clue, lots of research and finally just booking "something" because I was overwhelmed by the number of choices: That was a jackpot: * central location (1 minute walk to Plaza de Armas) * amazingly well run place (see below) * got a 15 minute tour-de-force of relevant information on arrival. and only...

Ludwig the owner is very welcoming and will help you with all you need for the stay in Cusco. The rooms are clean, water hot, and it's quiet at night. Exceptional value for solo, couples, and groups. Also it's walking distance to everything in the downtown tourist area.

great location (about 3 minutes on foot to the plaza de armas) clean safe fully equipped kitchen cheap (25 Soles for a private room, breakfast (the usual: bread, jam and butter), check out his webpage for further information) quiet (TV is automatically turned off at 23:00) every night the owner made a fire in the living area, which is highly...

First of all, the owner is great! He was always more than willing to help us with anything we needed, whether it was asking for directions, what to see in Cusco and using the kitchen. The place has a lot of character with funky props collected over the years. It's also very clean and really well priced. AND it's in...

Nice atmosphere, nice decoration, lots of plants, not a party hostel. Rooms have safes. Rooms have soap (usually not provided). What sets this place apart is the above and beyond customer service. Ludwig always guided us on where to go eat, how to travel places, and generally took care of his guests. Highly recommended.

After 3 weeks of travelling in Peru, this is the first hostel that has a reception (the owner himself) speaking proper english, who is helpful and is there for you. He is very happy to help you plan your stay in Cusco efficiently, while avoiding the local scams. The hostel itsself is small, clean, quiet and cosy. Located exactly in...

I absolutely loved this hostel! I stayed at three other hostels in Cusco in the month and a half I was there and this was by far the best. I only planned to stay three days and ended up staying nearly three weeks. Ludwig was incredibly kind, always making sure I had everything I needed and always making sure I...

My girlfriend and I stayed at Royal Frankenstein for 3 nights in total and can not speak highly enough of both the hostel and the owner. Just a 5 minute walk from the main square this hostel is in a great location surrounded by both restaurants and tour agencies. Fantastic for travellers keen to avoid late night parties in Cusco...
