We loved all! From the fact that we arrived at 7 am and altough we were prepared to wait for the room untill 11 am, as our reservation starded, they gave us the room immediately. The room was spacious and nice, equipped with electric heater and the bathroom was spotless, with hot water. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of fruits, fresh juices, eggs, ham, cheese, vegetables and simply all that you wanted. The location of the hotel could't be better. The staff was better that in many 5;stars hotels! They remembered all the guests room number, so when you entered, they just waited with your key in a hand! They helped us a lot when we said we want to go to see Valle Sagrado on our own without any organized trip nor guide, told us where to go and what to do. Then we moved to Machu Picchu and they kept our luggage in their storage room untill we came back. Then they gave us a new room, also very nice, this time with the balcony and the beautifull view to the square with the Temple of San Francesco.
There is a free wi-fi connection and the computer that the guests can use. All fits the standards of the bests hotels. And the architecture with the galleries around patio is even better, since it's original and well preserved. I can honestly recommend the place and if I ever come back to Cusco, I will definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel, modest rooms that have everything you need. Breakfast is very good! location is very good as well, only 5 min walk from the main Cusco plaza and all the main Cusco restaurants.

I would recommend for a short stay.

Excellent location, close to everything, and very safe.
Good size, comfortable and clean rooms, good bathroom with hot water. Plenty of blankets and a portable heater. the rooms need to be more modern but this is an excellent value hotel for the price. good wifi.
Pleasant colonial building with central patio and large hallways with colonial furnitures. Staff is ok, English is spoken. Quiet hotel during our stay. good breakfast.
Highly recommended .

Poor heating, terrible shower, lacking toilet paper (!!!). 14¨ TV that doesnt work properly. A friend negotiated over the phoe a price 30% lower than what I paid, then it makes sense, bad, but at least cheap

We stayed at Garcilaso II (or Garcilazo II) Hotel for several days, with breaks in-between. The hotel is clean and similar to average 3-star american hotel. It has hot water, TV, and telephone. It is in the central part of Cusco, close to all attractions and restaurants. There is no internet service in the hotel, but there is an international phones outlet just in front of the hotel. The breakfast was not as goodas in the other hotels we were in Peru, it is not a buffet. Generally, I would recommend this hotel and stay in it again.

The hotel location is good, walking distance to all you need to see in Cusco, but the place is more like 2 stars, I mean the carpets are old, the hotel is old and rooms have no protection against street noise and if here are fireworks close by forget about sleep, breakfast is of very low quality I mean, I cant tell how much this hotel cost as it was booked through the travel agency but definitely wont stay there again.

If you’re looking for a place to crash, this is it.

Nothing fancy. You won’t get an experience out of it.

Very centric, 1 minute away from the main square, which is pretty good.

It’s kind of old but clean.

Water pressure in the shower sucks.

Just an ok place to spend the night.

We stayed in the hotel Garcilaso II for 2 nights. Our room was a large, carpeted room with 2 comfortable double beds and a separate nicely tiled bathroom. There was no A/C and the room had a small portable heater (radiator). This was the first room that we stayed in that actually had a telephone. The person at the front desk spoke good English and was very friendly. They even have a bellboy. He carried our suitcases up to the second floor as there is no elevator. The breakfast buffet has a large selection of food and drinks. The hotel is in walking distance to Plaza de Armas and the major sights in Cuzco.
When we arrived, we saw a wifi signal in our room, but could not connect. It turned out that their wifi had some problems at that time as they could not connect either. They recommend to go to the lobby or the room next to it to connect to wifi as the connection in the rooms is spotty.
Long story short: This is a very nice and affordable hotel close to everything inn Cuzco. I recommend it.

We stayed in Garcilaso 2

We stayed here three nights total, and stored our luggage in beteen stays (we hiked the Inka Trail)

The rooms are okay, but not spectacular, I liked the beds, but I do tend to like harder beds.

The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is quite ok. All in all I think we got god value for our money.

Stayed in Garcilaso I (as opposed to Garcilaso II). Hotel is a short walk from Plaza de Armas and surrounding tourist attractions. Minimal English spoken, but staff was very helpful. Nice common areas with tea and coffee provided (free) throughout the day. Great breakfast. Good WiFi, hot water, and good water pressure. Staff can arrange taxis (slightly inflated fare) to train station and store bags during visits to Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu.
