We paid $245 for 3 nights, including breakfast. It is close to Plaza de Armas and all other attractions. Rooms are cozy and nicely furnished. Other reviews say it is noisy but we were not bothered at all. The team is awesome: Manuel (manager), Jaime and Macario (drivers), and Elena, Sara and Maribel (staff) are just spectacular, attentive, kind and...

I just checked out from this hostel yesterday and needed to write an honest review because so many of the ones that convinced me to stay here overlook some real serious issues. 1. this hotel location is not great, straight up a steep Hill, and in a very busy and noisy area. 2. the hotel caters to 18yr old kids...

Dear Guest. First of all, Thank you for trusting RUMIWASI as your house in Cusco. Your critics are always important for us to improve. RUMIWASI is a XVII century house recently restored maintaining all the original structures. It is located 1 and a half block from the mail square up hill. This distance has been an advantage in order to...

RumiWasi is a very well positioned to central Cusco and we enjoyed a very nice stay there. The building is old which means that the location is quiet and some areas lack a little natural light. The staff and service was very good and the rooms were very clean.

This hotel was exactly what we needed. I had spent a long time researching hotels in Cusco and was considering options that were $25-$40 more per night. I came back to Rumi Wasi and decided to save the money and book it and we are so so so happy that we did! We stayed 3 nights - 2 before Machu...

What bumps Rumi Wasi from Average to Very Good it's the people and service. I agree with other reviewers stating the staff is very kind and super accommodating. They have free taxi pick-up and drop-off from the Cusco airport. Make sure you email the hotel and arrange that beforehand. Our flight was delayed 45 minutes and our driver was the...

Rumi isn't a luxury hotel, but it is still 5 stars. I stayed there with my wife and two friends, and Rumi helped us have a great time in Cusco! The room with the roof access is great to enjoy your breakfast on - and the breakfast at Rumi is phenomenal (you just tell them what you want and they...

Great little B&B with fantastic service. We stayed in the terrace room which has a beautiful 180 view of the hillside and the town Center a little ways away. Bed was fairly comfortable and the room has a space heater and a/c. It's a short walk downhill to get to the town Center and there are lots of great restaurants...

When the taxi stoped outside the door of the hotel I wondered what this was. Just a small door in a big wall. Could this be right? When the door was opened you'll go into a backyard down some stairs and into the house. Many rooms around the backyard. A small breakfast room in the basement. We went on the...

I'm not sure where to begin in praising this hotel! First and foremost, the hotel was built in the 1600s and has undergone modern upgrades, but they have not disturbed the historical significance of the architecture. After entering we were offered coca tea, and Manuel sat us down to talk to us about altitude sickness, the hotel, and the area....

This was such an amazing little find in Cusco. It is minutes from the city center and was so convenient. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we were greeted with tea when we arrived. The staff is welcoming and courteous. We spent a couple nights here and then stored our luggage here as we hiked the Inca trail, before...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Rumi Wasi (House of Stone) is a house with a colonial style built in the XVI century by Spanish conquerors and erected over Inca's terraces. The property was then bought by the San Roman-Vucetich family. Once the restoration was finished and after contemplating how beautiful it had been done, The San Roman-Vucetich family decided to share the warmth of its installations with Cusco visitors.
