#7 of 572 B&Bs / Inns in Cusco
Rumi Wasi (House of Stone) is a house with a colonial style built in the XVI century by Spanish conquerors and erected over Inca's terraces. The property was then bought by the San Roman-Vucetich family. Once the restoration was finished and after contemplating how beautiful it had been done, The San Roman-Vucetich family decided to share the warmth of its installations with Cusco visitors. Thus, we are waiting for you to enjoy a nice and comfortable atmosphere enriched for its architectural beauty, privileged view, history and tranquility.

My sister and I loved our stay at Rumi Wasi! Check-in was easy and the housekeeper was so kind, offering tea when we arrived. Manuel, the owner of the hotel, also contacted us personally to let us know that he was available for any questions. In addition, he organized our airport transport on request which meant we didn’t have to worry about finding a taxi! The gorgeous building was built during the 16th century and offers an amazing view of Cusco when you climb the porch stairs. The room was so clean and comfortable. It also overlooked a quiet street. The building is also only a five-minute walk from the Plaza de Armas, delicious restaurants, and historic cobblestone streets. We highly recommend Rumi Wasi. This will be our home base in Cusco when we return!

Located near Plaza de Armas. Nice rooms. Bathroom was moldy and had ants. Welcoming and Nice people workinh there. You can get breakfast served in the room. Breakfast was good. Our 9 year old got sick one night. We had to pay 30 dollar for laundry despite washing the bedsheats in the bathroom. They charge 30 dollars per laundry. So better stay healthy here.

We stayed for 3 nights in Rumi Wasi and enjoyed our very quiet room not far from the centre of Cusco. The rooms were a nice size, well equipped and kept impeccably clean. Nice breakfast and very friendly staff. Highly recommended

This is a family run B&B, located at a steep 5-10min walk from the main square. The elevation affords excellent views of the red tiled Cusco rooftops (from the restaurant). It is a small property converted from a family home, but very well appointed with nice touches throughout (ie hot water bottle sandwiched in the sheets so you enter a warm bed). It is pretty much a place to rest and relax, so don’t expect much else. The food is simple and basic, and there is no reception/concierge service which took away from what could have been a fantastic experience.

The staff at R. W. were warm, caring & very welcoming. The staff brought us hot water bottles at night, breakfast to our room on early departure days & packed us breakfast to go for a 3AM departure. The room was clean, quaint, & beds were comfortable.
