This is my third Wild Rover I have stayed at and after a few days we decided to leave for another hostel for a break from the partying! Granted we stayed over Christmas so everyone was super in the party spirit, but after 5 nights we needed a break. As with all Wild Rover hostels the beds are comfy, showers good, staff are great, food and drinks are reasonably priced - note you can only pay in cash for your stay and tab (the tab system can also be dangerous!) The slight issue I had with the Cusco WR was the only proper communal area is the Irish pub, which is great fun but there is no in between - you either go to the pub (which was so busy every night, sweaty, banging music [lots of EDM...], and lots of sugary free shots) or you stay in bed (if you don’t go out in town that is). There are some settees in reception and bean bags in the courtyard but nowhere really to have a more chilled drink unless you venture out. The smoking area outside the pub is good if you want to avoid getting stuck into it, but after 10pm this area closes and the only option is the banging sweat pit until the pub closes around 2am. Like all WR hostels though we got caught up in the fun and the loop of never leaving the hostel - waking up hungover, eating the comfort food, drinking again, waking up hungover. Staying over Christmas was great as there was lots of decorations, Christmas themed events and a great Christmas dinner! Once we left WR we actually came back to hang in the pub one day (before it kicked off) and also for the NYE party, which was great fun (we left at 5am and the party was still banging!) It was nice to have the option to return to a quieter hostel when needed, maybe that’s just me getting old though! If you love to party, you’ll likely know WR is the hostel for you :)

I can't recommend highly enough. An incredible bar that is going every night. Dorms are isolated so if you want to have an early night you can. Everything you can ask for in a hostel and more (+Marty is the man, anything you need, he's got you. He made it that much better!) 10/10 would stay again as a solo traveller!

I spent New Year's Eve at Wild Rover Cuzco this year and I can say it was definitely a fun place to hang around: I met awesome people and slept very little! The view from the hostel is amazing and there is a broad variety of free-time activities to choose from (day trips, football matches, cooking classes). After a long day of touring around Cuzco, all guests usually meet at the hostel's bar at night. The bar manager Marty takes good care of his guests and makes sure to keep the travelers entertained. I had a lot of fun at Wild Rover Cuzco and can only recommend this place!

I stayed in Wild Rover for around 10 nights in total and would totally recommend it a 100% to anyone who wants to connect with other people and have a good time in beautiful Cusco! I slept in a 16 beds dormitory and it was quiet spacious. You also can have your total privacy since there are curtains. Every bed also has one spot to charge your phone or other stuff which is placed pretty unfortunately since it's facing the downside and your charger can drop out pretty easily, but it does the trick. The bar in wild rover's just amazing and is what makes connecting to other people so easy, they always have little activities going on like Beerpong, Pisco-class or other stuff! And further into the night it's just one big party! Also they offer "free shots" throughout the night which was a nice extra. And don't worry about your sleep, the bar's on the otherside of the area ond you will hear very little to nothing from the party. The staff's amazing too! They' re always super nice, attentive and fun! All in all, amazing!

We had amazing service and an awesome time here. We did a lot of day/overnight trips from Cusco and Jose and Julio were super accommodating. They kept our backpacks in a safe storage area for us until we got back and had tons of info on where to go and what to do in Cusco. Our room was clean and we had a beautiful balcony with a view. The bar was tons of fun and the food was good as well!

Due to previous recommendations we thought paying the extra money to stay here would be worth it but definitely not. The bunks are the noisiest of any hostel, the hot breakfast was served cold and also at the moment you have to pay cash. For those who cant escape the atm fees, this could determine whether you are having lunch that day. Would no recommend.

Great party hostel, the beds are comfortable and bathrooms are all clean, the staff is nice and there is a lot of activities if you don’t plan going out. The bar is the best part, one of the best in Cusco and it is always crowded with a great atmosphere. The only issues were the great hill that was necessary to walk to arrive at the place (not their fault at all) and the plugs to charge our items in the bed, that faced down and often your charger would drop. I really loved it and would totally come back for more.

This is my 3rd Wild rover hostel and I would recommend it to everyone. Big rooms with nice beds and curtains on them for privacy, and you also have a big locker and your own light and power socket. If you sometimes feel like spending a day in hostel they have plenty of activities throughout whole day, especially evenings. And it wouldn't be so great if it wasn't for the great staff who helped me with everything I needed, especially Karla & Jean.
