Villa Magica has a homely feel with the decor and it's fun to look at all the art work around the place. There's a lovely garden you can sit on1 The atmosphere is lovely with friendly staff and group activities you can take part in such as dance classes, karaoke and pizza & film nights. The facilities are good with... More

I am staying at hostal magico which supports the Aldea yanapay social project. The hostal is close to all amenities and plaza de armas. Best it feels like being home with a cosy garden, tv and common area. Home away from home.

Although I loved the concept of this hostel, working with local schools and volunteers and the décor which looked like a hacienda, I hated staying here, the staff were friendly and the room doors didn’t close fully, there big massive gaps that let the cold freezing Cuscunian air through so I was perpetually shivering! The toilets and showers were across... More

I went to Cusco April 2013 to volunteer and see Machu Picchu and this was a great place to be. It has all the basics and more! The Wi-Fi was excellent and the service too. People were super friendly and helpful. They helped me figure out my trip to Machu Picchu and other places. The kitchen was small and cozy... More

Lovely staff, really helpful in providing information, quiet but a very relaxed atmosphere and still only a short walk to the Plaza de Armas. Lovely outside courtyard which is great for chilling or eating. Well stocked kitchen. Beautifully designed rooms, same theme as the restaurant and you can tell so much thought has gone into every part of the hostel.... More

Stayed here for almost a week and it was worth the few soles they charge you. The hostel is quiet, the beds I've been sleeping in in the dorms are amazing, you're never cold and I at least had never any problem with the hot water in the showers. The wifi works good and the included breakfast is just enough... More

I stayed here on recommendation by a few of my friends. I talked them down to 15 solis for the 6 person dormitory, which I thought was fair for cusco. There is a large kitchen with stove and refrigerators. The wifi works great and there are computers available for use. The beds were comfortable and had feather comforters and blankets,... More

As the old saying goes; you get what you pay for. This place optimises this. For the cheapest place in Cusco, you get a cutely decorated and comfy room (each room is uniquely designed) and seperate shared bathrooms. It can get pretty cold at night but you can get a gas can for the clay pot heater in your room.... More
