Pro's:
- Very hot shower
- Comfortable beds
- Friendly staff

Con's:
- 10min walk from center
- No Wifi signal in rooms

We used Señiorio Real as our base in the Cusco area, The hotel is a bit south of the center, a 10 minutes walk to Plaza de Armas and San Blas. Although the hotel is mentioned in LP 2010 edition, it seems to be frequented mostly by Peruvians, as we didn’t see many other Foreigners during our stay.

Some English is spoken, but basic Spanish knowledge is recommended. All the staff is extremely friendly and made every effort to make our stays comfortable. We had the impression that the enjoyed talking to us as much as we enjoyed talking to them.

The showers are top notch: super hot, more water pressure than needed, working 24hours... best shower in Peru so far. As a bonus you also get hot water in the faucet.

Size and type of rooms varies greatly, ask to see a few to meet your needs. Rooms have Satellite TV with good international selection, very comfortable beds and high quality linen, in-room telephone and plenty of power outlets. Room is cleaned every day, including new bed sheets and towels.
Rooms facing the courtyard are quiet and have no street noise, but you may be woken by the bright early morning sunshine, as the windows face east. Rooms on the 4th floor get some noise from the breakfast area.

The 4th floor has a nice dining/hangout area where a complementary continental breakfast is served (5-9am). If you ask in advance you may be able to arrange a later breakfast, the cook is there all morning. Checkout is at 9am though.

The hotel has free WiFi, but the router is an ancient model and mounted on the staircase wall at lobby level, hence no WiFi signal in our room. At the 4th floor hangout area you can get a weak signal if you sit close to the staircase.

Complementary herbal and coca tea served all day at the lobby.

The hotel stores your luggage free of charge while you take side trips to the sacred valley or joint a trek.

Overall we found the hotel to be a good value at S70/night. It was the friendliness of the staff and the hot shower that made us it as a base for our explorations in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu We ended up staying a total of 10 nights.

Came here with no prior hotel in mind. Was recommended this hotel by our tour company.

Hot water included with continental breakfast (breakfast is all the same in most hotels, bread, coffee/tea, ham, fried wonton rolls, juice, yogurt, butter/jelly)

Staff is awesome helped when we came back sit and when we were hungry helped us upstairs to cook some food. More of a chill spot and not a 5 star place but for the price I loved it. It was better than our hotel in Aguas Caliente (keros, read review)

WiFi was not a problem since I was close to the staircase but if your room is further down you don't get a strong signal but overall worked good on my phone.

You have to ask to turn on hot water but they turn it on fast and if you tell them in advance what time you'll be back they will have it ready for you.

Free bag storage and let us stay past the 9 am check out time since our flight was at 6pm without breaking the bank and charging us the full day.

I love Cusco and have gone every few years for many years. Over the last 14 years I have stayed here when ever I am in Cusco. The owner and staff are lovely it is so wonderfully located reasonably priced and safe. The rooms are cleaned every day and you can request a something to heat water for coca tea or instant coffee. I love this place.

Senorio Real is stunning and we thought the photos don’t quite do it justice. The house has a central glass dome, at the top of the beautiful staircase, which bathes the house in light And plenty of room for our multi-generational family of 10. Having 5 large bedrooms all with en-suites (a ‘must have’ for us) gives everyone their own space. All the bedrooms have masses of storage space too.
The pool is private and fabulous with a BBQ seating area and a comfy sofa which even has an ice bucket stand next to it for anytime drinks. Everything has been done to the highest quality.
I can recommend this house unreservedly. We are returning and so have just booked a week in August. Woohoo. Forgot to add that bars and restaurants are all within walking distance. The owner, Lesley, was very helpful throughout.

Cannot say enough wonderful things about this lovely little hostel. I was put up here by a program running medical missions in the indigenous communities surrounding Cusco. The days were emotionally and physically taxing, and it was so incredible to be welcomed home to Senorio Real in the evenings and treated like family by Eduardo, Eddy and their adorable dad whose name I never caught (I always just respectfully called him Señor).

While its not swanky by any means, it's definitely a great value, especially if you are traveling in a group of 3 or 4 people. My 3 person room was on the third floor with a big window that let in lots of light (and warmth, thankfully) and faced a lovely little courtyard. The beds were comfortable and warmly dressed for cold Cusco nights, the water in the large shower was always nice and hot, the wifi signal was full strength and the room and attached bathroom was thoroughly cleaned daily.

The location is also ideal - less than 10 minutes walking from the Plaza de Armas, Choco Museo and Plazoleta San Blas, less than 5 minutes from Qorikancha and not sketchy in the least. I walked home alone from the Plaza de Armas several times in the middle of the night and felt completely safe.

Above all, it's the family that runs the hotel that makes this place special. Always friendly, smiling, interested in your day and feelings about Cusco and ready to grab you some fresh towels, hail you a cab or explain to you how to get somewhere on foot. When I was leaving today Eddy and his dad stood on the street and waited for my taxi with me and they ended up paying for my ride to the airport, all the while insisting that I come back soon. Simply put, Senorio Real feels like home. Whenever I make it back to Cusco I definitely know where I will be staying!

I stayed in this hotel in August 2014, we booked our trip through a local travel agency in Lima and they assigned us this hotel. The hotel has all the basic amenities you need and the rooms are decent. It's on walking distance from the Plaza de Armas. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The only con was the noise, we stayed on the 4th floor next to the breakfast hall and guests were watching tv there till 2.30 am. At 4am the first guests started having breakfast, which made it impossible to sleep. We stayed one night on the second floor and there was much less noise there.
