The hostel is very close to everything you need: Plaza San Fransisco (2mn), Mercado san pedro (5mn), Plaza de Armas (5mn). Plus the hostel in itself is charming: after opening the main door, you arrive in a interior courtyard where you can relax, have a mate de coca, make some friends. The staff is very helpful, they took the time...

The hostel was fine - rooms and showers decent and breakfast grand. Kitchen is grand but far too small for the number of guests. The sink in the kitchen clogged and despite being told it ended up being guests rather than staff who unclogged it. At 30 years old I felt like a dinosaur - everybody else seemed to be...

My husband and I were looking for an inexpensive place to stay prior to hiking the Inca Trail in Cusco. Periwana delivered in every way. Coca tea all day, delicious breakfasts (although you have to pay for anything beyond toast, the omelets are worth it!), and a very friendly staff made our stay really enjoyable. We had a private room...

This place is crap, we booked accommodation months ago and arrived today to find out they had cancelled our booking due to us not confirming even though we had a confirmation email from them with a confirmation number. We never received anything stating we would need to reconfirmed. Then they said they no longer had any rooms available and could...

Ear plugs just didn't do the trick. I'm not sure if it was the young girls that laughed like hyenas at 2 am or the music coming from the bar, regardless this place is loud and the walls are thin. It's truly a party hostel.... Their curfew is not respected by even the employees. Wifi is spotty, complimentary breakfast includes...

I stayed for four nights. First, the location is great. It's close from Plaza de Armas and San Pedro Market. It's in central area but quiet at night. There is a security at the gate and it helps to give you safety. Second, the building is historical and there is a large resting area in the middle of building. The...

After staying at the pariwana in Lima and being disappointed, we decided to give it one more shot in cusco, which we probably should not have. The facilities where a lot better at cusco, however when ordering our meals at the bar our orders needed to be changed 3 times as they didn't have a lot of the food available....

Stayed here with my daughter in November 2015. It was very noisy. If you want a good night's sleep, you are better off choosing another hotel. If you want to stay up all night, this is the place to be. It is well located, just a few blocks from Square.

Stayed here with my wife in November, 2015 and found it was far noisier than expected despite having posted quiet hours right near the room. We did enjoy the location but expected it to actually be quiet enough that we could sleep at night (it wasn't). The room was fairly clean and I can't speak for the quality of the...

Amazing hostel with very attentive staff and so many activities every day! Modern facilities and decent breakfast, very good value! We booked our Salkantay-Trek here, much cheaper than other places, and such a good trip! Even though my backpack was stolen from the room, I rate this 5 stars - it was that good.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Pariwana Hostel Cusco lies in a colonial house built in the 16th century. The beauty of our hostel can be compared to any 5-star hotel in the city of Cusco, but with the atmosphere and vibe of our guests and the Pariwana experience. The house has an internal patio surrounded by stone archways in both the first floor and in the balconies of the second floor. Our restaurant and bar-lounge are located in the same salons where Viceroys used to dine with the local nobility. It is said that there is a secret passage between the house and the closest convent. Supposedly, it was built by the last Viceroy, Abascal, as he new his days were counted. Pariwana Cusco is located in the heart of Cuzco’s Historical District: only 2 blocks away from the main plaza (Plaza de Armas). The hostel is surrounded by the typical Cuzco architecture and scenery. It is nearby several restaurants, drugstores and transportation facilities. ... more   less
