It is a family-driven hotel. Stayed from 27/12/2011 to 1/1/2012 (5 nights). Paid 20US$ per night (plus 10 Soles per night for the heater, see below), breakfast (bread, butter & jam or cheese, fruit juice freshly prepared, milk & coffee) was included. I made the reservation by phone the day before my arrival and paid cash when checking out. Credit cards are accepted.

The good:
* the hotel is in a quiet street, far from heavy traffic and night shouts
* my room was clean and so was the bathroom
* both the room and the bathroom are fairly large
* the bed was good for me, not hard and not too soft, I could sleep well.
* I always got hot water. Sometimes it was more like warm water, but it was warm enough to take a shower
* my room had a TV
* In the lobby there is a computer with internet connection free to use.
* WiFi connection free to use. I was able to use it in my room.
* the owners will truly try to satisfy all your requests at their best. In my case this included:
----> waiting for me at the airport with a taxi when I arrived in Cusco even though my flight was delayed by 30 minutes
----> whenever I needed a taxi (also at 5.30 in the morning to go to Machu Picchu) they helped me finding one and negotiated the price with the taxi driver, so that he couldn't overcharge me.
----> keeping my valuables in a safe place
----> lending me a hairdryer (there was none in my room)

The bad:
* the hotel is a bit far from the city centre: you can reach Plaza de Armas by foot in 30 minutes or with a taxi (3 soles) in 5 minutes. I almost always chose to go by foot.
* the owners speak spanish but not english (except for the young son that sometimes was at the reception). This was not a problem for me, I can understand some spanish and with the help of a pocket dictionary I managed it. I only regret I could not have a conversation, they probably can give you some good advice about the town.
* my room was somewhat cold. I rented from the owners a heater for 10 Soles per night. I really needed it only for 2 nights.
* in my room the furniture was basic and looked a bit shabby. There was not a light switch close to the bed. I would have traded the TV for an abat-jour next to the bed.

I doubt you can find the same accomodation for a lower price or a better accomodation for the same price in Cusco. So, all in all, if you are looking for a cheap accomodation, I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at this hotel before and after my 4 day Inca trail hike. The service is friendly and the room is clean and comfortable. They allowed me to keep my luggage there during the hike free of charge and even has a laundry service. I would definitely stay here again if I am in Cusco again.

This is a basic hotel, with basic features and a reasonable price. The rooms were clean, the water was hot and the hotel staff was friendly. It is not fancy by any stretch but a serviceable place to crash after a long hike.

Two tips: First, there are about 15 hotels with Inca in the title (Inca Inn, Inca Place, Inca's Hotel, Plaza Inca) etc etc. Make sure you have a good map to show your taxi before you go.

Second, there are a couple of decent chicken restaurants about a ~6 minute walk away. Ask the staff and they can point you in the right direction.

We stayed at the Inka's inn in cusco for a full week in July 2013 and it was great. It was about a 30 min walk to the square. But with cabs being so cheap it wasn't an issue at all. If anything it was better, we were away from the noise. Since we were there in July it was cold at night. The hotel was very cold but we were given extra blankets and hot tea whenever we needed them.
Louis is the owner and just fabulous! He met us at the airport for an airport pick up, I thought that was a nice touch. When we arrived at the hotel he showed us our rooms and then brought us coca tea and was just so helpful whenever we had any questions. He confirmed our trip to Machu Picchu ( since our Spanish isn't the greatest!) and organized our laundry the day before we left. All the other staff were also great, always very helpful and friendly.
Showered were always hot and great water pressure (which isn't always the case in South America)
I highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in cusco!

If you're looking for cheap-this is it but remember you get what you pay for. We stayed a week and it was marginal. The noise was terrible and there are no restaurants near. It is a good hike into town and we did not get the type of room we booked. The hotel guarantees booking with a credit card but you have to pay with cash. There is no elevator and I would strongly suggest that this is not a good place for seniors. We never figured out breakfast and WIFI rarely works.

The hotel is about 30mins fast walk from the main centre but 10 minutes from the bus station. Don't know if the area may not be as safe as quite often the main glass door was locked, and the staff would come and unlock it whenever we approaches/ rang the door bell. We stayed here on two separate nights with a trek in between.

We met two reception staff who were fairly helpful in their different ways, as although one of them maybe interpreted as being relaxed! The older one didn't seem to speak much English compared to the younger one, but seemed to understand our requests.

On both occasions the room was cold but would warm up in the evening if the sky was clear. There was a good supply of hot water for showering and a powerful shower although during the morning of the second stay the water ran out completely, perhaps we had overr-used the hot water... We only had breakfast during the second stay as we left too early the first time. It was just bread rolls, butter and jam, hot tea/coffee and a lovely freshly squeezed pineapple juice. No fruit salad as shown on a leaflet! During the first stay we had told them we needed to leave at 5am and were advised to knock on their door to wake him up, we had no issues the next morning. We could also leave a bag with them during the trek.

We stayed here two nights while in Cusco. Its very close to Terminal Terreste (Which is the bus station we arrived at from Copacabana). Don't get a taxi inside the terminal, they are way more expensive, I think if you walk outside the taxis are much cheaper. Otherwise you can walk depending on how much luggage you have. We were taken to our first room which had a used towel on the pillow, we complained so the guy took the pillow off... we said had this room be cleaned, and he changed our room, one floor up and we checked and it was clean. Our room was fairly decent size there was a TV and a small table, as well as somewhere to hang clothes and a bedside table. We only had one towel but they gave us another one when asked, soap was provided. The bed was comfy and clean. Our shower wasn't hot one day, so we thought we would just have to deal with it. The following day it was boiling hot but soon ran out of that, so beware the water temp seems temperamental. We had booked online for $66 for two nights, but then he tried to charge us $70 for extras. We said we didnt get any extras, so he said $66 was fine... so I dunno. They take credit card but charge an extra 10%. He was helpful with getting us a taxi if needed and he speaks some English. Breakfast is juice coffee and tea two bread rolls and jam. Nothing flash but better than nada. Overall it was ok for what you pay in Cusco which is touristy and its close enough to the main areas you can walk easily.

This place is about 20 mins walk from the Plaza/Cathedral in a safe area. The rooms have private bathrooms with hot water and are pretty big. The staff are excellent. They speak little English but get around by using Google Translate. In my entire stay, I never woke up in time for breakfast but they also offer it free.

You need to get cash before coming here. There are no ATMs nearby and my Mastercard didn't work. Visa did but we didn't think it did because it took a week to process so if I had only stayed a few nights, I would have paid twice.

Overall, very good for the price. Many others pay the same for a bed in a hostel.

We spent here a few days and our initial impression was very positive. The place is very clean and really nice staff.

They showed us to our room and we had ample space in the room for the queen bed, a desk, the tv, and our own bathroom. We got the window view and even though there were only houses, I like being able to see people walk down the street when I am in another country as it tells you more about the way people really live. There is a small park right next to the hostel but I didn't see any issues with noise or anything like that.

We arrived a in the afternoon and upon our arrival we were immediately offered a "te de coca" to relax. The following morning we woke up to a warm tasty breakfast. We talked to the owners for a little bit and they were always willing to help us out with anything we needed. One time we wanted to drive to downtown and eat at a good place and the lady rode with us in a cab and made sure we arrived to a nice restaurant and advised us on what we might/might not like.

We came back a 2nd time to Cusco and stayed here again (we got our same room, how nice!). We were heading out to Machu Pichu and we asked if we could leave our luggage there and they said that was fine and took care of our big bags while we took our small backpack.

I don't think location is too much of an issue if you like to walk, but if you don't then just walk outside and grab a taxi (there are a lot of them driving by, you don't even wait for 5 minutes).

I highly recommend this place.

The rooms were clean (even the bathrooms), the staff was courteous and helpful, the beds reasonably comfortable--and the price was good.. A 15-minute walk to restaurants and shops. Ten soles taxi fare to the airport. We thought there was a breakfast, but this turned out to be incorrect. We stayed 3 nights hotel stored our luggage for us when we did an overnight at Macchu Picchu, no problems. There turned out to be a 10% extra charge to pay by credit card, which we hadn't been warned about.

O Hotel mesmo na Praça principal é o Libertador, excelente. Se tem pouco tempo este é o ideal. Fiquei no outro a volta do circuito, mas é bem mais longe do centro, não compensa. Boa viagem. O Peru e lindo!
