We had an amazing stay at El Tuco. Coco was an amazing host- very helpful with everything we needed. We didn't choose the extra breakfast but the standard bread/jam was good quality. We were able to leave luggage securely while we went to Macchu Picchu. Coco was professional all of the time and a really interesting guy! The hostel is...

The infamous Coco that everyone talks about on here must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed every day that we were there. We were welcomed to the hostel with a super patronising talk about how to look after the place (clean dishes after use, etc...) I booked this place because it was so cheap only to...

My family and I spent two nights at El Tuco: one night prior to starting a trek to Machu Picchu, and one night upon returning. The hostel was quiet, clean, and the owners were very informative and helpful. They were able to give us suggestions about where to shop in Cusco, where to find tour agencies, and even where to...

We booked based on other reviews and were not disappointed. Yes the accommodation is relatively basic - but it's clean, there are good hot showers, decent WiFi, access to a good kitchen, you feel very secure, and friendly service! So all in all we thought this place was great value for money and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for...

From the moment we arrived Coco was an excellent host. Freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast with either eggs or pancakes. A great location. Only 15 minutes walk to the town square and across the road from supermarket and collectivos. The airport is only 15 minutes away and cost 30 sols for taxi. Excellent shower, clean and comfortable rooms with...

We stayed at El Tuco for total 4 Nights. The hostel is very basic with simple, but big rooms. Cleaning was ok, and toilet was big and clean with hot water. Owner Coco was very nice and friendly, and made a basic but very nice breakfast every morning. A little walk from city center, but not long, maybe 10 minutes....

We had a fantastic stay at El Tuco! Coco was extremely helpful and friendly! Coco helped us set up an amazing tour to Rainbow Mtn and was ready to answer any questions we had. The rooms were spacious and extremely clean ( they are cleaned every day!) To top things off the shower was nice and hot. The hostel is...

Clean. Hot, powerful showers. Good beds. Helpful owners with english. Kitchen. Breakfast bread, jam, butter, tea, coffee, pancakes (extra cost) and juice. Common area. 6 blocks to town centre. Old, 1930's characterful building. Good, friendly atmosphere.

Don't understand all the great reviews - stayed here one night in a double bed with shared bathroom. The hostel was practically empty. The room and bathroom was ok. The owners do not let you take your room keys when you leave, you must buzz them to get back in. The place is quite a walk from the central tourist...

El Tuco is a nice, clean and friendly hostel about 15 minutes walk from the main square in Cusco. The staff were extremely helpful and provide lots of advice about what to see and do. The room is fairly basic but mine had an ensuite with a hot shower. The breakfast is included and is good. Very reliable Wifi reception...
