Whether you want to explore ancient ruins or taste trendy food, Cusco is your ideal base for making the most of Peru. This was the capital of the Inca empire from the 1200s to 1500s AD. Travelers today know it as the gateway to Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley of the Incas and other sites, as well as a hotspot for cutting edge cuisine and affordable shopping. Explore all this mountain town has to offer! Selina Cusco is decorated in the colorful Inca-influenced style of the city. Our dorms, private rooms, and suites are a short walk from all the local highlights: the happening Plaza de Armas, the delicious sights and smells of San Pedro Market, the dining of Plaza San Blas, and the historic city center.

My sister and I were extremely pleased and loved the Selena Hostel in Cusco. We had only planned to stay there 1 night but ended up staying an additional 2 nights, so we had a different room each time due to booking a room the morning of, doing two-day excursions, and changing our schedule/itinerary a few times.
What really stood out was the design and decor element that Selena offers. It was beautifully decorated with Peruvian prints and cool art. The rooms were very modern, clean, and well thought out. The beds had white clean sheets and the bed was very comfortable. I have never stayed at a hostel that was so stylish and modern.
The first night's stay, we booked a private room without a bathroom. We absolutely loved our room décor but unfortunately, we were near the open space/bar area and unfortunately, the music was extremely loud and went on until 1am. The matter was made worse by the fact that at around 6am some guests near us were making loud noises and slamming doors. Oddly enough, the cleaners knocked on our doors at 8am. We did speak to the front desk about these issues and they kindly booked us in a private room with a bathroom for the price of a private room without a bathroom for our next reservation. We were very appreciative of our upgrade.
Our 2nd stay was a private room with a bathroom and we absolutely loved having a bathroom, a larger room, and once again all the décor.
This hostel is very large, with lots of different spaces to hang out on, and a large restaurant/bar area. I would highly recommend eating at their restaurant. My sister and I had breakfast and really enjoyed it. We always make a point to go to local restaurants in the city we were in, but we were so tempted to come back and eat at Selena since our breakfast food was so good. This hostel also had a separate building with a large dining table and large kitchen that my sister and I used one night. The kitchen had a fridge, cabinets for you to keep your food, lots of plates, and pans for cooking. Selina also offers lot of events and activities.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked at Selina in Arequipa and in Lima. We received a small discount for booking at other Selina Hostels in Peru. There are Selina Hostels all over the world and the next time I travel if given the opportunity I will stay at another Selena.

This hostel offers both good rooms and dormitory rooms for a very good price. Rooms are clean and each bed has its own socket and light. Breakfast could be included. Towels have to be bought and hairdryer is avalaible.
Very well located.

Had such a great time spending 5 days at Selina Saphi last week! The rooms and bathrooms were super clean and the staff was very friendly. Alex at the bar was so great and taught us so much about pisco. He also made some of the best cocktails we had all trip. Additionally, the event planner Jei hosted such a fun party while we were there and then took us out for drinks after. Literally the best night of our entire trip! Gracias Alex y Jei para todo!

Having arrived on time for our reservation, we were greeted by the most disinterested staff I have meet in all Peru. The room was ready, yet she couldn’t find our reservation. After 30 minutes of on of conversation trying to get our room, she asked us if we could wait two hours. We said no, and she finally gave us our room. Telling us we could pay later. Whilst all this was going on she was talking on the phone I might add.

Later that night I came down to pay. She started to overcharge me, and I had to show her my booking, to get the right price. I was asked to wait some more, this I declined and asked if I could pay tomorrow, which she reluctantly said was fine.

The rest of the payment was smooth.

The room was great. Best private room I have had in Peru. Also most expensive, but go figure. I must say though that the hostel felt like a labyrinth. Way too big to be really social. Find somewhere else If you want to meet other travelers. Especially out of season. Cause it felt empty.

Not gonna stay here another night.

The rooms are decent, but really overpriced! Normally Selina hostels are great, but the breakfast is small and not really worth it.
You will get no sleep in the weekends, there is so much noise from the restaurant/bar.
The staff is great, but the place bad…

Great hostel with chill spots and a big kitchen. A little walk to town (10 mins) which passes by brilliant restaurants and bars. Good mix of solo and group travellers, both nomad workers and backpackers… easy to meet people in the chill areas and kitchen. Tours on offer are easy to book onto as well.

Alex was the best at Selina!! He was so welcoming to everyone that was visiting. If you visit here even for a drink you need to ask for him. Also the hostel was one of the best I've stayed at! The rooms were clean. The showers were hot. 100% recommend.

Very good hostel within walking distance of the historical centre. Reception staff very helpful with any queries and organisation of excursions. Very comfortable beds which were much appreciated pre Macchu Picchu hike. Good stocked kitchen and quiet outside area.

As will all the other Selinas, you know what you're getting when you come here! The place is very aesthetic and relaxing, but lacks a distinct atmosphere. Despite this the staff were very friendly, the cinema room was outstanding, the beds clean and comfortable and the washrooms were of a great quality. It is also very cheap here for what you get.
