Nestled in the historic San Blas neighborhood, Tocuyeros Boutique Hotel overlooks the city of Cuzco from a unique vantage point. It is centrally located in the midst of the city’s famous landmarks, yet retains the spirit of a secluded traditional Casona; a quiet, warm, understated house, surrounded by spectacular views. Located at a cul-de-sac of Tocuyeros street, you will be charmed by what awaits you behind its understated entrance. Each of our 9 suites has its own character. Our first floor Courtyard Suites are warm and cozy and they overlook our garden. Our second floor Balcony Suites have cathedral ceilings and double pane windows with city views. In addition, we offer a unique suite with separate living room and bedroom, with views of both the city of Cuzco as well as the quiet Tocuyeros street. “REFUGIO” our reservation only restaurant serves a creative mix of Fusion and Classic Peruvian fare. We favor sourcing locally to ensure freshness and support local communities.

My wife and I stayed for a beautiful, sunny weekend at Tocuyeros and had a truly fantastic experience. It was our first time at this hotel, had read great reviews about it, and our stay only confirmed the stellar ratings. The staff, location, decor, breakfast, quietness, spaciousness and dozens of details made for a memorable visit to Cuzco after 3 years (living in Lima, an hour’s flight away, we have visited Cuzco over a dozen times). Pros: beautiful, cozy, and modern local flavor, with great rooms and bathrooms, located 300 mts from the main Plaza, 100 mts from San Blas, and with dozens of good restaurants, museums and bars within a 5 minute walking radius. The staff is great- they will definitely go out of their way to make you happy (we forgot a phone charger in the room as we left and front desk Saul promptly hired a cab and dispatched it to the airport for us) and arranged just about everything for us. Breakfast is basically whatever your heart and mouth desire and cooked to order. The dining room, lounge, terrace and 2nd floor rooms have great views of the city and its church towers. In-room amenities include wonderful beds and nespresso machines. We even got a lucky upgrade to a dream suite. Cons: probably they could do a bit better with the heating, and unloading your bags when arriving can only be done stopping traffic in the narrow street, but hey-it’s a street designed when no wheels were used!

Tocuyeros Boutique hotel is a lovely, quiet, small hotel 2 blocks from the Plaza D’Armas ( a slight uphill walk on the way back but manageable) in the San Blas area of the city. The staff is so polite and helpful; I emailed them prior to our stay and they had a cab waiting for us at the airport. They kept our luggage while we trekked the Inca trail, and it was waiting for us in our room when we returned. They have a dining room/lounge with a fireplace with huge windows overlooking the city and breakfast is included, they even gave us bag breakfasts on the morning of our trek when we had to leave early. The rooms and bathrooms are large and comfortable; our family of 4 comfortably shared one room. The only current disadvantage is the street outside is under construction which means cars cannot pass, so you need to walk half a block up or down from the nearest cross street on an uneven surface, not ideal for persons with disabilities. But I am sure that will finish soon. I highly recommend this hotel!

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The people here are so friendly and genuinely want to make sure you are happy. I have stayed here 4 separate times on the front and back end of hikes. They take care of my luggage while I’m gone and have it waiting in my room when I return, along with any laundry I may have left to have cleaned.

This trip I chose to stay in their presidential suit which is a huge room with a nice couch and living area with a beautiful view of the city. There’s also plenty of room for getting dressed and a desk. The bathroom has a jacuzzi tub and a large shower along with double sinks in the vanity. The room has a nice fireplace they will light for you if you are staying during a cold time of year.

This hotel has a nice restaurant, and although I normally never eat dinner at a hotel I’m staying at, I had an off night after the inti raymi festival so I wanted to do something easy. Hands down the best meal I’ve had in Cusco, all I can say is wow, Refugio is delicious.

All that and you are a very short walk to the plaza and shopping. The area of San blas is a very hip side of town with beautiful paintings all around and you’re next to one of the most famous streets in cusco. What’s not to love?

We absolutely loved our stay here! We had booked a different hotel for the beginning of our trip but then had friends who stayed here and recommended it for after our Salkantay Trek. Thanks to Tocuyeros, the last 2 nights in Cusco were wonderful and much needed after hiking 70+ miles in a week.

Before our check in, the staff let us store our extra luggage here that we weren’t going to use during our Salkantay Trek. Upon our return to Cusco from Machu Picchu, we were exhausted after hiking and camping for several days and Antonio helped us get checked in quickly, arranged for a boxed breakfast the next morning (we did a day trip to Polcoyo Mountain and had a 4:45 am departure), and took care of our laundry needs. The service here is superb!

After our last hike and second night at the hotel, we just ordered from the bistro and ate overlooking Cusco city at night. Beautiful! The bistro menu has a wide variety of items, and we enjoyed all of our courses: the avocado with chicken starter, trout ceviche, native potatoes, and fried cassava and cheese side. Everything was yummy and we were so glad to have incredible food in such a convenient setting.

I highly recommend booking here. The location, staff, food, and room comfortability exceeded our expectations for the price at which we booked.

Tocuyeros is a beautiful hotel set in a very tranquil location and only a few minutes walk from the Cusco historic center. Everything was fantastic - our room, the rooftop terrace, the dining facility. The courtyard felt like you were in an orchard! What made our stay a truly phenomenal experience was the very friendly and helpful staff (Antonio, Diego, Saul). Whatever you asked for, the answer was always "yes". The included breakfast was made to order and exceptionally good, including the fresh-squeezed orange juice and specialty coffees. Again, what you requested, they made it! We stayed 3 nights prior to our hiking trek to Machu Picchu and 1 night afterwards. We loved every moment of our time at Tocuyeros and would go back in a heartbeat!

We have stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We really liked their large comfortable rooms. The hotel location is perfect, right int the historic center and very close to Plaza Del Armes. The only downside is that street next to it is very narrow so the big cars cant even drive through and small cars are allowed to stop for a very short time.
The breakfast was included, due to Covid they didn't serve buffet but did a great job accommodating our food request, everything was tasty , just a tad slow. It looks like that hotel is used to a larger number of guests so the common area and a restaurant felt quite empty. I really wish they will get more tourists soon.
The staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful, answered our questions, brought us extra shampoo/etc, and promptly arranged Covid test for us (required to fly out for us) . Furthermore we didn't like that our first room was right near the entrance so on the 2nd night were moved to the 2nd floor with a better few.
The hotel has a terrace and a balcony, both have amazing views day and night.
Their wifi was also speedy, no complaints!
If you are looking for a great service and big rooms, this is the one. Highly recommended! Thank you to the staff well, really understanding.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your review and for taking the time to share it on TripAdvisor. Indeed, we are located in the neighborhood of San Blas, minutes from the main square. Although the narrow streets sometimes make a little uncomfortable the transit of large vehicles, is also one of the main attractions of the area. We are pleased to know that you enjoyed our food and service. We are currently in low tourist season, so you were very fortunate to have the facilities entirely at your disposal We hope you will visit us again soon. Kind regards, TOCUYEROS TEAM

Our family of five stayed at Tocuyeros Boutique Hotel for one week over Thanksgiving break. From the time we arrived at the airport until the day we departed, we received incredible service. The hotel staff was extremely friendly, and their service was above and beyond what we have received at most 5 star resorts. They assisted us with car service for every excursion and always made sure we had a boxed lunch no matter how early we left in the morning. The hotel as outstanding food and drinks, however, they also assisted us in making nightly dinner reservations if we felt like dining out on the town. They were always there to help if anyone was feeling a little under the weather due to the altitude. The hotel is walking distance to the town center, but also very safe. Rooms were very clean. Overall an outstanding experience that we would highly recommend!

Stayed here for a few nights. Small hotel with amazing views over Cusco. Really good breakfasts, great staff and slap bang central, walking distance to everywhere. On a hill so hope you are fit. Our driver had to drop us at the bottom of the hill with our suitcases but staff from the hotel came down and carried our suitcases up to the hotel, thank goodness! Entrance to hotel goes through an Inca stone tunnel, stunning. Would definitely stay here again.

We arrived late in the evening to the hotel after a 2-day trek to Machu Picchu. Saul was waiting to greet us at the hotel. He welcomed us and quickly brought us the infusion (tea) of our choice and immediately noticed that our kids were hungry after missing dinner. He suggested dinner at the hotel which was fresh and delicious. It was the perfect way to start our stay in Cusco.

Tocuyeros was amazing. Saul was extremely helpful and communicative. He helped us plan our day with a lot of useful suggestions on what to do and made dinner reservations at local, tasty restaurants. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed resting and relaxing on the outdoor second floor patio with an amazing view overlooking the city.

We also always looked forward to breakfast. Every morning we had an arrangement of fresh fruit, avocado, eggs, waffles with chocolate and hot drinks including tea and coffee. My kids especially enjoyed the cinnamon rolls and brownies that were ordered off the menu.

The hotel is tucked at the end of a pedestrian street in the San Blas neighborhood. It is a perfect, central location for exploring Cusco. We stayed in November 2021 and felt safe with their Covid safety measures. In addition, they were able to help arrange a Covid test for return to the US.

We loved our time at the Tocuyeros Boutique Hotel and can't wait to return. Thank you Saul for all your help and making our time in Cusco special.

They do have massages, we weren’t able to get one scheduled in our time frame. Can’t remember the exact price but they are more expensive at the hotel than on the street.
