I stayed here with two friends at the beginning of December with my sister and friend. We were just traveling Peru but I had already been in Cusco for four months. That being said, I knew the layout of the city already and chose Casa Arcopunku because I already knew it would be a great location. It is just a couple of blocks from the Plaza de Armas and fun, artsy, San Blas neighborhood. The staff were very friendly and helpful. 24 hr reception was great for coming in on late flights as well. The hotel’s courtyard was really pretty, well-kept, and quite despite the location near one of the main roads in Cusco. Right outside the hotel doors is on of the main bus stops in Cusco as well, which is nice if you plan on using public transportation during your stay. As for the room, it was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The water was hot and everything in working order. The reception also sells bottled water and some snacks since tap water is not drinkable in Peru. Overall, had an amazing stay here and will be choosing it again the next time I’m in Cusco!

I stayed here for three nights while sight-seeing in Cusco with friends.

The staff was lovely and super helpful in providing directions around the city, storing luggage when we left for a night to Machu Picchu, calling taxis, providing 24-7 reception, etc. The location is an easy 10-minute walk to the Plaza de Armas and the San Blas neighborhood. The rooms were clean and tidy and the WiFi was great - everything we needed.

Would highly recommend!

I stayed here for three nights in July.

The staff were always very kind and helpful (I used my intermediate Spanish with them). I was able to pay with my credit card. They have free tea at all times, which is good because the rooms are not heated and can get quite cold, though not intolerably so. There are plenty of blankets. It might take a little longer to get to sleep due to the cold, altitude, and the noise of other travelers coming back through the hall and setting off the motion sensor lights, which show through the window over your door.

The showers have great water pressure and hot water. The breakfast is buffet style and there is plenty of food, though the quality is basic. They keep your luggage for you for free if you are going on a trek and coming back. The desk is not open in the wee hours (like 3am), but if you tell them when you need to leave the next day, they will be there.

I would stay here again because of the price and the staff, and although it's not right in the tourist area, it's within walking distance.

This hotel should not even be rewarded a one star. It is dirty, the rooms have no windows and the standard of amenities and space in the rooms is worse than a below average hostel. The location of the hotel is at least a 30 minute walk - uphill, to the centre of Cusco. The breakfast is a piece of 3 day old bread, juice that has been sitting out for hours in the heat and a coffee machine which refills every hour.

The service from every member of staff at this hotel was a complete and utter joke from the moment we arrived. The organisation of the hotel and how the place is run was laughable, we stayed for a week and they tried to check us out of our hotel multiple times because they had no clue what was going on.

On our last day we asked to use the laundry service which we dropped off at 10am, we were told this wouldn’t be ready till 9pm. Wesaid ok, they told us the price was 8 soles per kg. When asking for our laundry back to pack on our final night we were asked to pay in cash (we had spent all of our cash as it was our final day on holiday) we explained we had no cash and asked to use MasterCard, which we had paid the room with. We were told by a rude member of staff that laundry services were only to be paid with cash. We then offered (without being asked kindly) to walk to the cash point - which was a 30 minute round trip, in the cold - to withdraw the money. On arrival the member of staff informed us he had inadequate change to give us and will now take the payment on card. A complete and utter joke causing such an inconvenience on our last night, leaving a bitter taste in our mouth for the full trip.

We stayed in this hotel for one night. After a hotel on Expedia did not go through for us, we decided to stay here. We were so glad that they had room for us on New Years Eve. It was $49/night, which is a bit higher than other hotels we paid for. The hotel was very clean and modern looking. The TV did not have a guide. The Wifi worked well. The front desk service was excellent. They helped us find a taxi and held our key while we went out on New Years. Our room was located on the fourth floor. This hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from plaza de armas. They had a decent sized breakfast.

Highly recommend this beautiful hotel for a Cusco stay. It’s about a 10 min walk away from the plaza de armas and starbucks. Safe area and excellent service. Room prices are more than fair with breakfast included. It’s also close to San Blas

Our experience at this hotel has been absolutely abysmal. First off all it is outdated, old and the interior is depressing. The camping on the Inka trail was more of a luxury than this hotel. The staff were clueless and rude, they thought we were checking out 4 times when we weren’t.

The rooms were so cold that we had to sleep in hoody’s with 4 blankets on top, which were of poor quality. There was black long hairs throughout the room when we arrived. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, I’d rather pay money to stay in the jungle and be bitten by mosquitoes all day than stay in this hotel again.

Whatever you do in Cusco, do not stay here!!

The rooms are ok, the whole place is bit windy though.
But I honestly have to say, that I have never experienced such a bad breakfast. The few things that were offered didn’t taste well. A lady told them that the scrambled eggs were cold, they then heated them up in the microwave. The fruit was disgusting, as well as the cheese. The only thing that you could eat was toast with butter. And even for that you had to ask, since they never put anything back that ran out....

The staff was amazingly nice our entire stay and every interaction was pleasant. The room was cold when we got in and we were a little nervous that our stay was going to be a bit rough, but the blankets are the warmest of all time! The location was nice, just a brief walk from the main plaza. Are you going to be wowed by this hotel? Unlikely. Are you going to feel like you got a good value? Almost definitely.

The hotel is located close to the historical centre of Cusco. You need about 5 min by walk to The Suntempel and 10-15 min to Plaza de las Armas.
The staff is very friendly and the rooms are nice and clean, though mine was a bit cold by night. Spent only one night, but i liked it a lot. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom was neat and clean, with small supplies and a nice hot shower :)
The inner courtyard is very cute, you can sit in the sun and enjoy your book or plan your day.
The breakfast is very good aswell, offers toast, rolls, different types of jam, little sausage omlettes, cheese, cold cuts, mandarines and bananas, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fresh juice and cereals. Gives you a good start for the day.
The staffs are very friendly, what ever question you have, they help you out. You can ask for a pick up or drop to the airport and they will arrange for it.
Felt very safe there, as the main door is always looked.
If you need to buy some stuff, there are small shops around for water, cookies or any other snack you need.
Will come back when in Cusco again!
