Well we needed somewhere quick to stay since we lost our reservation in our original hotel due to the travel agency going out of business and not paying for our booking in advance. We found Monte Horeb on Booking.com. It looked decent enough but it was not what we expected. The hotel is located on the second floor of a... More

After traveling Peru for three weeks, we have come to appreciate hot showers above all else - and that is exactly what you get at Monte Horeb! The location is perfect - just a 5 minute walk from Plaza Del Armas, restaurants and tour companies. The rooms are a little chilly, but plenty of blankets are provided. A great place... More

This little place was cosy with firm but comfortable beds. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the stay. It is secure with a steel gate that requires the host to open. Check that the hot water is on. Towels are supplied. Bread, jam and eggs for breakfast.

Central location only 5 minutes walk to Plaza de Aramas. Large, clean, comfortable rooms that were quiet and provided with good security. There was very good reliable wifi in room free. The breakfast was very good for the general Peru breakfast, staff were very friendly and helpful to arrange tours and taxi transport. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The rooms are spacious, bright and very clean. Breakfast is included, and you can store your bags if needed (for Machu Picchu etc.). It's close to the city center, and close to some good restaurants If you sleep close to the gate, bring earplugs. The bar across the entrance can be a bit loud.

We stayed here our second trip to Cusco as a group of three girls. The B+B is up some stairs and you need to be let in with a key so it feels very secure. We were given a room with two double beds and a single which was a nice surprise and the rooms are very clean and the... More

Only 2 blocks from the Plaza de Armas. This place had nice rooms with good beds, hot water, great Wi Fi, and very quiet at night. Staff was wonderful. The place could use a bit of paint here and there but overall a delightful stay especially for the price.

Lovely friendly staff. Large clean rooms. Laundry service was great although there was a small mix up which was sorted out easily. Breakfast good. And cocoa tea was appreciated and available whenever we asked. Rooms and shower on cold side but had thick blankets which led to warm sleeps.

Friendy and helpful staff, the rooms are big and clean. There is warm water in the shower and the beds are fine. The price for a room is reasonable. You can leave your luggage for free behind closed doors (for example when you are doing the Inca Trail). The location of Monte Horeb is perfect, nearby Plaza de Armas.

We were staying for three nights and could not have more different opinions. But firstly I have to say the staff is great, friendly and helpful, rooms are reasonably clean, beds comfy and location is perfect. That said it might sound strange but if we were there for just one night, we would hardly give them more then one star.... More
