Great little hostel. About a 10 min uphill walk from the main plaza ( good trekking training!) and the pay off is great views over the city. San blas area has loads of shops/restaurants too. Breakfast was good. Top floor rooms have the views but we were in room 5 (private room) on ground floor which was great for views...

This was a nice, clean hostel with all the amenities needed (wifi, hot shower, breakfast included). There are cheaper hostels with the same amenities but the view over Cusco set this one apart. I would recommend it for travellers who want somewhere quiet and aren't on a super tight budget.

Please realize that it is a very big up hill climb the last 20 min. walk up then climb more stairs up to the lobby! The taxi driver could not go any further but parked and carried our luggage up that hill and then up the stairs, they were 2 carry on type luggage. We only stayed one night, we...

My only reason for 4 stars is because there was some confusion with the price/charges of our stay, they tried to overcharge us. We booked this hostel for our entire stay in Cusco. We stayed for a few nights, then went on our trek, then came back and stayed a few more nights. If I could go back in time...

The hostel is located in one of the best areas in Cusco. As it's up hill the views from the rooms are unbeatable. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. On the downside I have to say that the walls must be very thin as you can hear any noise from other guests and the street but I found...

Two late twenty-something Americans spent three nights at Samay Wasi in September 2016 and we really enjoyed it. We had a large private room with a comfortable bed that was big enough for two. The en suite bathroom was sufficient and convenient. The best part of the hostel was the excellent American-style breakfast. Our hosts brought us made to order...

Great service. Good breakfast and kind and helpful staff. We stayed 4 nights in total. It's a walk up hotel so if you are a person with disability or knee issues this hotel is not for you. See pictures for the flight of stairs. Only negative is the noise. The walls are paper thin. You can hear every conversation, every...

We stayed in a private room, the shower is really good (hot water and enough pressure which difficult to find in Peru sometimes). The view from the hostal is amazing, specially at night. The access is a little bit difficult if you dont want to walk too much with your back packs. Staff was really friendly

The price is right, the staff is very very friendly and helpful. I'm 26 yrs old and stayed here for about 2-3 weeks, annually, for the last 3 years. This past trip I unfortunately booked too late and had to find some other rooms nearby...this only reinforced the of Samay Wasi for their price range. *Unlimited hot water/tea 24/7 is...

For the price this is a great option. It's a bit of a climb to get there but the view is amazing. I stayed in different rooms over the space of three weeks and the wifi only works in some - however there is a sitting room with a computer and the wifi there is great. The staff were helpful...
