Stayed here for three nights while visiting the sacred valley. We arrived at night into Cusco. The hotel is right on the edge of old cusco across the street from the main tourist market. Short ride from airport. The staff is excellent. We sat in the lobby drinking fresh coca tea while they checked us in. It was a nice...

We spent 3 nights at this hotel for our honeymoon. We had a great time. The staff was friendly, attentive, and superbly professional. Specially Carlos, he went above and beyond when I got unexpectedly sick. The hotel had oxygen (for those of us who got affected by the height of Cusco). And Carlos stood by me and made sure I...

This hotel was located right in the center of Cuzco. It was very close to restaurants and shopping. The rooms were clean and so was the bathroom. I would describe it as quaint and carrying the minimum essentials for a night's stay. It did have a flat screen tv in the room. It did get noisy at night, you could...

Would have been a higher star rating but it was very noisy. They served breakfast at 6 AM and we could hear them walking up and down the stairs as soon as they started bringing food up around 5 AM. The service was really good and the rooms clean and worth the price we paid. Excellent location was in walking...

I loved the service provided by the hotel. I got there at 8 am and they had my room ready, everything was clean and people were really nice. Location is about 8 blocks from main square. Breakfast was good, a little poor if you are having breakfast later than 8:30, they have limited stock of things so if they run...

The Samay Hotel in Cusco, Peru was located in an ideal location even though the building itself was somewhat dated. Some of the hallways were dark and some of the heaters did not work well. The food was good and plentiful and the staff was helpful and friendly.

I have stayed at this place twice. Once in 2007 and another time in 2008. We had been staying previously in a little village named Salkantay. Maybe it was the switch from a dirt house to a real bed, but I really loved this place. We got to know one of the waiters very well, and we have written him...

The hotel was basic but worked perfectly for what we needed. It was a nice, clean hotel in a great location. The shower water did vary a great deal. It got very hot then cooler, but it was easy enough to adjust without getting burnt. I am not sure why other reviewers didn’t like the location. The hotel was only...

Myself and five others in my group stayed at the Samay before and after going to Machu Picchu - a total of 3 nights. This hotel was in a travel package. The hotel was about a 20 minute uphill walk to the Plaza del Armes (challenging when you just arrive in Cusco and are suffering from the altitude). The hotel...
