We really enjoyed out visit here. The rooms were comfortable, heated, with hot showers and comfortable beds. The location is great, right next to the plaza de Armas, mostly everything within walking distance. The staff was extremely accommodating, and helped us with laundry, food and drinks, taxis and any services or accommodations we needed. It is reasonably priced. We had a great stay here and I highly recommend this hotel.

One of the most charming hotel I've stayed. Oozes art and history.

Greeted by Christopher who was the manager.
First he invited us to sit by the beautiful courtyard with natural ceiling light and offered us cocoa tea. While we enjoyed the tea, the administrative procedures were done and luggages brought up to the room for us.

Helped us store our luggages during our Inca trail trip and luggages back in our new room when we returned. Couldn't have asked for better service.

Thank you Christopher and the kind staff at La Casona Real Cusco!

My girlfriend and I arrived at the property around 9 in the evening with just enough time to take a bath and go to bed because the next day we had booked a tour early in the morning to Machu Picchu ( we had to get up at 3am ).
As we got to our room the staff told us to let some water run until it started to get warm, we waited 10.. 15 minutes.. we called to the front desk and they told us to keep waiting. Almost an hour passed since we had arrived and we still were out of hot water. We called again to the front desk, and they told us that we were going to move to another room that had warm water (two stories bellow and we had to search for the room ourselves ‘cause no one waited for us or told us where to go). We had already unpacked so we had to put on clothes and pack again In order to change to the other room just to find out that it was also out of hot water!!
We had to wait almost an hour more until the staff at the property called a technician to figure out what was wrong and try to fix it.

We were exhausted because we traveled and drove all day long and we’re stressed because we had few hours to sleep so you can imagine what a good time we were having.

In the end we were able to take a quick shower with not-so-warm water, my girl has a gorgeous long hair and the fact that they were out of hair conditioner was the last straw and we lost it.

We had about 3 hours of sleep out of the 7 hours planned, no hot water, no hair conditioner, we were out of our minds angry, exhausted and stressed and finally we were charged the full fair and got nothing from the staff for the awful experience.

They had a big bed, nice location, but I’ll never book there again not even if they pay me.

This hotel is suitable for those looking to experience the nightlife in Cusco. The hotel faces a very lively street with live music and crowds who stay out late. Do not stay here if you have early morning wake ups for tours. When we arrived, there were no rooms available that did not face the busy street. The noise was so unpleasant that we decided to switch hotels. The hotel staff were not particularly helpful either.

The hotel, a very nice house with an internal patio with sofas and free Wifi, is only 1 minute walk from the Plaza de Armas. The rooms are clean and hot water is provided. Breakfast is good. The only problem is not all of the employees speak nor understand other than Spanish and Quechua language.
We had agreed they would include the transfer from the bus station in the price, but when we arrived nobody was waiting for us and so i had to take a taxi. To balance this, they reimbursed me for the taxi, which is appreciable.
When I was told that coca-tea can't be imported in European countries, I gave them as a present a pack of 25 coca-tea bags that I had originally bought to take home. Nevertheless, they made me pay for the black tea I asked some minutes later before going to bed, which is quite not elegant...........

Convenient to square. Hospitality is 5 star. The breakfast is wonderful. Housekeeping fantastic. Everyone at this hotel is exceptional. They have tea all day long to assist with altitude issues. Comfortable courtyard with fountain and chairs.

La Casona is a beautiful hotel. Huge character, great hot showers, clean, lovely simple breakfast, wifi you can count on. Our bedroom is gorgeous. Hotel is very close to Plaza de Armas and all that area offers. We had a problem needing medical help and Sixto was fantastic. He arranged for a Dr from Clinica Pardo to come to Hotel. We also had an issue with a tour co. losing our booking that we had paid for. Again Sixto phoned for us and sorted it out. Nothing was a problem for him. All the other staff are friendly and cheerful. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Pros: extremely clean, beautiful interior, friendly staff, great location
Cons: impossible to sleep at night due to laud music coming from the street, literally going on until 4am ..so ask for the room facing inside.. wifi is terrible as well.
