Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel is a very basic local hotel. We stayed two nights (one on the way to Machu Picchu and the other on the way back) Here are my pros and cons:

Pros
Walking distance to tourist areas and square
Safe in room
Super market within one block
Nice water pressure and good hot water supply
Clean

Cons
Staff wasn't very accommodating
Beds are small and not very comfortable
NOISE - One of our rooms was facing the street. We got no sleep at all. The second stay the room was in the back and it was much quieter, however, the maid started cleaning the room next to ours at 6am.
Breakfast was very basic. They would make you 1 egg (only one) if you asked but they didn't advertise this so we didn't discover it until after we filled up on rolls and jam. They have cereal but only have warm milk to have with it.
They have a sign on the front desk that says Money Exchange but I tried on 3 separate occasions to exchange $20 US and they told me no. After the third time I told them to take their sign down.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back. Even those are noisy but no where near the noise level as the street...

This hotel was in a good location near busy streets and not too far from the main square of Cusco. There is a breakfast/bar area for meals (breakfast was included). We didn’t order room service but noticed other customers did. The breakfast was the same everyday we were there. It had boiled eggs, Vienna looking sausage, yogurt, cereal, fruit, bread, juice, tea, and coffee.

There is an elevator and group seating on every floor. The only problem is that the open concept of the hotel made sound carry. All the bathrooms vented into the open area and this furthered the carrying of sound.

The rooms varied from cramped (rooms by the elevator) to spacious outer rooms. They will store your luggage if you’re going on the Inca trail. G adventures was our tour group and this hotel is about 3 blocks from their Cusco office/meeting area.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms away from the elevator. They are more spacious.

The Hotel is simple but clean.  The breakfast was disappointing as was the service for the majority of the Staff.  The Night Manager was a friendly & helpful fellow though.  There is a major issue with the hot water in this building.  Consistently, we had to run the water 10 - 15 mins to get anything that wasn't cold water.  These accommodations were booked by our Tour Group.  The Location was the best part as it was extremely walkable and near all the major tourist stops, shopping, etc.

Stayed here on two separate occasions. Very basic accommodations with thin walls and unhelpful staff. The checkout is very early - 9:30am. Some rooms are extremely loud due to some sort of commercial activities going on all night next to the hotel. There is internet but it is slow, and there is hot water but the drainage is poor in the showers so wear sandals. The breakfast was ok, and it was helpful that they do have a relatively secure luggage storage area.

My partner and I booked hotel for 2 night stay in Cusco. Parking is right next door, a guy will give you a ticket and you pay him on leaving. Check in was very quick. Reception friendly but no information was given about breakfast, or hotel facilities. We booked an executive room, basically for the balcony. Although we didn’t have a table , only 1 chair. We took another chair from the next balcony. The extra price to pay for this was worth it though, the view on a morning and evening was fantastic.Rooms are all the same size , no bigger. No internet connection at all . Staff informed us of this after they gave us a Wifi code?🤷🏻‍♀️. Breakfast isn’t good, very basic. Location is good about 8 mins walk to main square. Probably wouldn’t book again. Stayed in much better hotels from Lima to Arequipa.

While the hotel is adequate in terms of basic accommodation, it offers a lot in regards to location. Upon check-in, I was able to walk around the corner and immediately find a place to buy a Sim card, get some snacks for my room, and walk 10 minutes to the historic center. Based on other reviews, I knew noise was potentially an issue, so I brought some earplugs and had no issues getting to sleep. The staff was helpful when needed, and the complimentary breakfast was enjoyable.

Some of these reviews seem a bit harsh. I find having adequate expectations really helps one’s experience. Most people are not visiting Cusco to enjoy a hotel room... there’s too much to see and explore! If you’re looking for a basic, safe accommodation that is close to the main square... you’ll be satisfied.

Stayed here pre and post G Adventures Machu Picchu tour. The rooms are very basic and the first room was a street facing one in which the safe did not work and was very noisy due to the traffic outside.
The shower has a vent which leads to the corridor outside which was also noisy.
The breakfast buffet was very basic and mostly unappetising and included overcooked pasta. The jam and butter seemed to be rationed although coca tea was available all day at reception.
There was no tea/coffee facilities in the room but was available for a small cost in the restaurant which was brought to the room if asked for.
On the plus side the hotel has a very central location for all that Cusco has to offer.

I've never given a hotel this low of a rating but it was not clean (trash from the prior room occupant was still in the garbage basket), the hot water didn't work in both of the rooms I was given and the staff is pretty rude. Breakfast was terrible. The only reason for two instead of one star is they did offer overnight laundry service and luggage storage.

European boutique-style hotel within walking distance of many attractions- but because it is in the heart of the city and near many attractions, there is some noise so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and they will store luggage if you have a side trip planned (such as a G Adventures tour). There is plenty of space available for gathering of a small group in various areas of the hotel, and there is a rooftop terrace with a great view of the city. The rooms are nicely furnished, but don't seem to have heat or A/C however plenty of blankets are provided (for my stay in September, I had to take two heavy blankets off and I was still rather warm). There are different styles of plugs/outlets in the rooms, so I recommend having an adapter and converter for any electronics (the first room I was in had the two round prong European style outlets, the second room had the two flat prong North American style outlets). The free continental breakfast didn't offer a lot of choices, but it was fairly tasty.

Hotel is not flash but simple and well located to walk into plaza in under 10 mins, area feels safe enough. My room has large shutters that look down into the interior of the hotel which means it is nice and light and fun if you like to see what is going on. I write this from a very cosy warm bed I am pinned down with heavy blanket. Had a good sleep despite the surrounding noise of other guests moving around on the sitting area outside my room and the bridges/staircases.

btw, this will create a minor odour problem, so make sure you get your garbage changed asap in the morning. This 'no paper in the toilet' is pretty much everywhere in S. America...the plumbing pipes are very old and only 2 inch...which cannot handle any paper.

We had to check out by 10 - they have storage for your bags if you want to pick them up later. They do charge you if you aren't out by 10!! Don't let that put you off- lovely little hotel, very busy with daily changeovers.

Plenty at front desk. Lovely little hotel, ask for 6th floor if poss by roof terrace. Avoid rooms on ground floor as very noisy. Staff very helpful
