We found this hostel by accident it's super well located in the centre of old town, near the river and plenty of restaurants and bars around. The rooms are super clean with comfy beds, but what makes it better is Jackie and her family they super welcoming and kind and friendly. I had a room in the back it was...

One of the cheapest hostels in Cuenca (a quite expensive city). Friendly staff, big rooms and clean bathroom with warm water. The restaurant "Moritas", adjacent to the hostal is an ideal place to have breakfast.

Stayed for four nights here and really enjoyed it! The staff are super friendly and speak English perfectly, but were happy to talk with me in Spanish so I could practice. We stayed in the 4 bed dorm and enjoyed meeting the other travelers. Hogar Cuencano is very close to all the attractions, it's an easy walk or short taxi...

A good budget backpackers hostel in central Cuenca. While it was older, it was definitely one of the cleaner places I've stayed in Ecuador. The street noise was significant especially on the weekend nights and dorm's wood floor was surprisingly noisy. However, anyone staying in a hostel dorm should be ready to deal with noise. The private rooms seemed to...

Exactly as the title says, this hostel is well located and has everything you need (although note breakfast is not included). There are plenty of great options for eating and drinking nearby, and there are plenty of good sights to see within walking distance. This is not quite a hostel though in the normal sense of an atmosphere for travellers...

The hostal was very clean, the hosts were friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. There was a roof terrace, but it wasn't really encouraged for guests to gather there, so that could be better. There was really no atmosphere amongst guests. You can also not cook after 7pm... But overall a very good experience!

I stayed here for two nights while traveling through Equador. Overall, this hostel is pretty decent. It's overall clean, and it appeared that the hostel was meant for an older crowd, which was nice, as it was relatively quiet and calm once the night hit. They seemed to clean the hostel frequently. One big downside was that THERE IS NO...

Extremely nice and helpful family run this hostel. The location is great and is close to a large number of restaurants which are both inexpensive and delicious. The terrace is nice to chat with other travelers and the wi-fi works on all floors (which is rare during our travels).
