Detailed Reviews
I stayed at this hotel three times during my recent trip to Ecuador. The hotel is located on a quiet, tree-lined street in the Mariscal and there was virtually no noise after 10pm. It's a pretty little place with lots of personality, places to sit, and things to look at. The beds were comfortable enough, and the hotel was very clean. Breakfast was delicious and included ample coffee! I really enjoyed and kindness and warmth of the staff. They remembered my name and were always quick to offer assistance with bag storage, getting a taxi, or ideas for where to eat on a quiet Sunday. I appreciate that the staff were not overly formal as they are at many larger hotels. This hotel was an especially good fit for me as as solo female traveler and I felt safe and comfortable.

I would absolutely recommend this lovely boutique hotel. In an attractive, safe, quiet street, but just a steps away from shops and restaurants. The hotel and rooms are full of character, interesting and beautifully decorated. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are individually furnished and very clean. We booked a basic double room, which far surpassed our expectations and had a lovely little balcony. The hotel is beautifully furnished, with little sitting rooms where you can relax, as well as a pretty courtyard. Good wifi and a very helpful, professional young lady in charge, who spoke fluent English and communicated with us, prior to our arrival and soon after booking. Nice breakfast of eggs, fruit, croissants, juice and coffee, served in an attractive breakfast room. Parking was in their garage, completely secure. Loved this hotel so much, that we stopped there twice more during our travels in Ecuador.

My wife and I recently spent two weeks in a lovely one bedroom apartment (with bathroom, kitchen, living room, and pleasant outdoor balcony-patio) here at Antinea. It was my second visit to this extraordinary boutique hotel and I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Quito. Veronica, who oversees the hotel is as friendly and helpful as any hotel manager I have ever encountered. The hotel is exceptional in many ways, and each room has its own design, feel, and distinctive quality. The breakfasts are delicious and the room service splendid. It is located on one of the most beautiful streets in Mariscal Sucre because of the gorgeous old trees that line the sidewalk. It is conveniently located near dozens of quality eating establishments and markets. I cannot recommend Antinea strongly enough.

It felt like staying at your own home. The rooms were large and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, eggs, toast and pastries. Veronica was so helpful in recommending restaurants, arranging airport transportation and suggesting guides. This was much better than staying in a big hotel.

I stayed here with a group in May. Not only was the hotel a beautiful respite from intense activity and the outdoors, there were so many little nooks and seating areas for us to be able to spread out and relax. Breakfast was delightful with pastries, fresh fruit and eggs. The hotel staff went above and beyond to help us with our visit - changing money, arranging quick turnaround laundry, and special dinner reservations. We had an amazing time while staying here!

very unfriendly welcome (kids felt the same; either they had no experience anymore with clients or did not want to see clients); rooms outdated; not clean (blood on the bed linen, very old blankets); we had no towels in the room and when I went down to ask for towels while my wife was waiting freezing after her shower, I was challenged twice about the fact that there were towels in the room; breakfast was a joke (2 croissants for 4, no toast/bread, not even a plate (we had to eat in the small plate under the coffee cup), not even a juice, we had to ask for 3 refill of marmalade as we only got a tiny portion for 4 people (as if this was safran)….). A very poor experience. Location was maybe good, but this does not compensate for the poor experience. Fortunately, was only for one night.

We were told by the property we would receive a refund. Expedia explained until the hotel confirmed we would not get our refund even though we were entitled to it. The hotel refused all contact with Expedia and told us they had never been contacted multiple times.

Unfortunately, your cancellation was in the middle of the pandemic, Antinea was forced to close due to infections, we lost 3 team members, obvious reason we could not answer your calls, Antinea has just reopened its doors, your comment seems very unfair Dishonest? Never ! you can check all our comments Veronica ;)

We stayed at Boutique Hotel Antinea for three nights. The stay was wonderful. Boutique describes the Hotel perfectly. It is unique with a quirky but cool/wonderful layout and feel. Each room is its own style. Veronica and the entire staff were amazing!! They were kind, helpful and extremely accommodating. They were there to check us in at 3 am. Plus helped us with everything we needed, including dietary needs, printing our our Covid test results, excursions, laundry and everything else we needed.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Veronica especially was an absolutely sweet and wonderful person.

+1
We loved the uniqueness and location of this hotel. Right in the heart of La Mariscal, it’s very central to everything, close to plenty of bars and restaurants and there’s a Supermaxi supermarket just a few blocks away. We stayed for 6 nights and our spacious room (#4) had a small kitchen, stocked with all the necessary utensils etc, and a secluded patio space overlooking the front of the property and the lovely tree-lined street. The staff were very friendly and helpful (very responsive via WhatsApp) and spoke great English. We’re vegan and they were able to accommodate us at breakfast, with fruit, bread & toast. There’s also a nice vegan restaurant called El Maple very close by.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this hotel! Now only is the place beautiful and in a wonderful neighborhood but the hostess and staff are some of the most friendly and accommodating I have ever had! They made us feel at home and provided service well above what was expected. They allowed us a late check out when we had an evening flight and watched our bags when we traveled to the Amazon for 4 days. They contacted us prior to our trip to arrange pickup from the airport and it seemed that at every turn they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable! I had a massage while there and that too was a spectacular experience! I could not recommend this hotel enough to any person traveling to Quito. 10/10
