We loved the uniqueness and location of this hotel. Right in the heart of La Mariscal, it’s very central to everything, close to plenty of bars and restaurants and there’s a Supermaxi supermarket just a few blocks away. We stayed for 6 nights and our spacious room (#4) had a small kitchen, stocked with all the necessary utensils etc, and a secluded patio space overlooking the front of the property and the lovely tree-lined street. The staff were very friendly and helpful (very responsive via WhatsApp) and spoke great English. We’re vegan and they were able to accommodate us at breakfast, with fruit, bread & toast. There’s also a nice vegan restaurant called El Maple very close by.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this hotel! Now only is the place beautiful and in a wonderful neighborhood but the hostess and staff are some of the most friendly and accommodating I have ever had! They made us feel at home and provided service well above what was expected. They allowed us a late check out when we had an evening flight and watched our bags when we traveled to the Amazon for 4 days. They contacted us prior to our trip to arrange pickup from the airport and it seemed that at every turn they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable! I had a massage while there and that too was a spectacular experience! I could not recommend this hotel enough to any person traveling to Quito. 10/10

We stayed in both a suite and an apartment. Very clean and comfortable. The décor, furniture, and feel was unique and interesting. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. They spoke English. W requested a taxi to the airport at 2:45 am and they were very prompt. We will stay again and highly recommend Boutique Hotel Antinea in Quito, Ecuador.

Beautiful property with unique rooms and lovely outdoor spaces, including balconies and outdoor patios. Well located, walking distance to lots of nice cafes and restaurants. The amazing staff is what set this place apart for us - everyone we spoke with was very friendly, helpful and communicative. We needed to park a car and store our luggage for a few days while we were in the Amazon, and they helped make our time traveling in Ecuador so much easier!

Wonderful stay with Veronica. Omar and Consuelo were awesome also! Kindest people and so welcoming. We loved our terraced one bedroom with kitchenette. i felt very safe in the neighborhood walking around. however, I don’t go the the bars at night as a precaution. it’s a big city after all! i loved the homey ambience of Hotel Antinea so much, the staff, the location and the nearby restaurants so much that we have already booked our next stay there.

Warning: DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The neighbourhood is extremely dangerous and the hotel staff do absolutely nothing to help guests travel safely. I rarely write reviews, but had such a horrible experience here that I felt it necessary to warn other travellers. I have worked in travel for 15 years and been all over the world and this was one of the worst hospitality experiences I have ever had. On our first evening, my husband and I walked to a restaurant less than 20 meters from the hotel and were aggressively approached for money from a man that came out of nowhere. After leaving the restaurant we were followed by 2 other men and as the hotel didn't give us keys to the front door we were left frantically ringing the doorbell while the men contemplated robbing us. Luckily a hotel staff came and opened the door before anything happened. We asked if they could provide us a key to the front door and were informed that this is not possible and we need to ring the bell. On the second evening we decided to take a taxi instead and while we waited directly outside the hotel door we were first approached by a man on drugs who kept walking back and forth on the sidewalk mumbling to himself and staring at us. We then saw across the street, another man on a cell phone sizing us up and decided it was best to wait in the lobby until the taxi arrived. However, we were ringing the bell for 5 minutes and no one from the hotel opened the door. The man on the cellphone saw us panicked and decided it was the moment to move in, however, luckily my husband and I saw someone in the lobby of a hostel across the road and decided to make a run for it. As soon as we did, the man on the cellphone had a friend in a pickup truck try to block us and pull right up in front of us on the street. It's worth mentioning that at this time, the staff from Antinea had still not even come to the door. Thank god the woman across the street opened the door for us or I don't know what would have happened. I could not stop shaking the entire evening. We decided that evening to forgo the rest of our 2 nights there and move accomodation the next day. After this incident, we were chatting with a lovely older couple from the UK in the common area who warned us that they were robbed of their wallets outside the hotel in broad daylight the day before. And we met a young French guy who was alone and also not able to open the door while trying to come back to his room from dinner in the early evening. We booked this boutique hotel as it had nice enough reviews and was in a neighbourhood that was apparently filled with cute coffee shops, galleries and restaurants. I'm not sure how the hotel received these reviews in the past, but something must have changed on a large scale because this is not at all the experience we or the others we met during our stay had. The neighbourhood is not safe, during the day or night. Safety issues aside, the hotel staff are not welcoming nor are they helpful. The bathrooms are not clean, and for the 2 days we were there, we had to constantly ask for basics like toilet paper and shampoo. The staff are never anywhere to be found and to top matters off, when we informed the manager we were leaving early, she came to our room and told us she was sorry but we were supposed to have a key to the front door when we checked in. Unfortunately it was too little too late and no one we spoke to that was staying there had a key either. As some one that works in travel, it hurts me to say this about a small business, and direct travelers away from the many responsible and hard working people running wonderful businesses in the neighbourhood, but it is not safe and the staff did nothing to help and/or curb these dangerous scenarios from happening.…

Hotel Antinea is precious! Beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy a coffee, lovely architecture, the one bedroom apartment was very bright and spacious, perfect for two of us and my cat. Very pet friendly, and Veronica was extremely helpful and attentive to our every need. 10/10 recommend!

The host Veronica was amaziing. She was friendly, attentive and helpful . She arranged safe transport from the airporr to the hotel- the driver was , Edison, was great. . Veronica's English is impeccable. She promptly answered all my questions before my visit. Bteskfast is served in a dining area that i loved. Definitely try the yogurt! Throughout the hotel the decor is unigue.. The room was comfortable and clean. There are several garden areas that are pleasant for relaxing or work. All staff I had the pleasure of having contact with were professional and friendly. If I return to quito, this is where I will stay. The location is great.
