This hotel is wonderful. The rooms are clean, elegant with large bathrooms and wonderful tubs and showers. The location is perfect in the middle of Stunning Quito! The food is delicious with a good variety and breakfast is abundant, service is good. The staff is wonderful and helpful. The concierge is helpful, but some are more helpful that others,Leor was fantastic....

Beautiful, luxurious island in Quito's most central location. The service is personal and impeccable. The restaurant is outstanding. And the rooms are beautifully appointed with outstanding bathrooms. This hotel would be a top end legend in any city in the world, so it's presence in Quito is even more outstanding. Happy to pay a premium for such luxury that would...

I wanted to love Casa Gangotena. The reviews have been glowing. However, my experience was marred in several ways: (1) The cost per night is far too high (approx. $500 plus substantial taxes) for a room. I stayed in a garden view room on the second floor for two nights in December and a plaza view room on the first...

This is an old hotel but very comfortable and central. It is easy to explore Quito, on foot from there. The food is very nice, although service is painfully slow. They do not seem to plan ahead and nothing is ready at breakfast time. We gave up as we had a plane to catch. Queues of people descend and there...

We stayed 3 nights and it was fantastic experience. Staff was good and location is perfect for seeing touristic spots. We arrived at 2 am in night but the staff was waiting for us and check in was as smooth as you can expect. They even had welcome drinks and some food for us that late. Food was also great...

Gorgeous hotel! Located at Plaza de San Francisco. Hotel had rooftop balcony area with great views of the city, fun to watch hustle and bustle of Plaza. Many pigeons sat on rooftop of the church at the plaza or would land in crowds for kids to chase away. Beautifully decorated and comfortable hotel, would stay again if in Quito. Hotel...

During our visit to Quito from December 24-26, we had an incredible lunch experience at Casa Gangotena which we had reviewed. We were so impressed that we booked a day stay for January 2, 2016 because we were expecting a long 12 hours lay-over at Quito airport on our return from the Galapagos. The hotel had a 1-week cancellation policy...

Beautiful setting, amazing view to the plaza San Francisco and sumptuous decoration. Excellent service. Don't give 5 stars because the breakfast area is rather simple compare to the rest of the hotel.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Our room in beautifully appointed and is in keeping with a bygone era of luxury. The marble bathroom is great. The bed is comfortable with quality linen. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Lovely high tea every afternoon.

this place is just superb. The service, the decor, the cleanness, the bar, the outside, the view on the square. Maybe it is not located in the safest place in town but the hotel is taking great care of their guest. Definitely a great address
