Just spent 4 nights in this beautiful hotel. It is perfectly situated on Plaza San Francisco, in easy walking distance to all the highlights of Quito's Old Town. Our room was beautiful and well-appointed. What prompted me to write this review though was the service. Unfortunately, while on our visit, my daughter became quite sick. Everyone was so accommodating -...

We have just stayed in Quito at this gorgeous hotel on San Francisco Plaza. We had a room on the first floor facing away from the square which was quiet except for the church bells which pealed on the hour from 5am. There are rooms with balcony and if we stay again we would ask for one of those. The...

Great location facing the square but make sure you ask what's on when checking in.We were woken very early and kept awake in the evening from construction noise in the square building market stalls and an entertainment stage. We weren't informed of this on arrival and it definitely affected our experience in Quito. The restaurant food was good and the service friendly...

This is an elegant, majestic hotel in Quito. It's centrally located to the shops and the Plaza de San Francisco. Check-in was quick and uneventful. It's nice to be seated when checking-in and not having to stand in a queue. The staff is friendly, well dressed and English well spoken. There are welcoming smiles and a bounce in their steps...

Truly spectacular in every way. The staff are attentive, beautifully appointed lobby and inside garden area with some original art from the once private mansion, rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds, wonderful pillows, linens are divine, and the attention to detail in the rooms you just don't find in hotels of even 5 star rating. For example on the...

Casa Gangotena is a beautiful jewel in this beautiful World Heritage Site. We arrived around 1 am and were greeted by staff who had prepared a snack for us upon arrival. The suite is well proportioned. The bathroom big enough for two quite easily, and very modern. The bed is extremely comfortable. The amenities suit the ambiance of the hotel...

I checked in at 3 am on a Sunday night and they did it without a frown. The hotel itself can't be better positioned at overlooking the plaza San Francisco. I personally don't care for Quito that much because of the pollution so I spent most of the time in the hotel getting over my jet lag and to enjoy...

This hotel is beautiful. Fresh flowers are abundant throughout the property. The common areas are lovely and comfortable. The hotel is bright and cheerful and located in the heart of Quito's historic center. No need for taxis... everything is within walking distance. My room was large and bright. The ceiling must have been the originally restored ornate tiles and at...

This beautiful old house, now transformed into a gorgeous boutique hotel, deserves all the high praise it receives. The staff are wonderful. They will bend over backwards to make everything right. The restaurant is outstanding. The breakfast buffet lacks for nothing, and afternoon high tea is over the top. We ate one dinner there too and were not disappointed. The...

This is a beautiful classic hotel in the heart of old Quito. The hotel is beautiful, both inside and out. The rooms are beautifully appointed, comfortable, and large, considering both the age of the building and the location in the heart of the old town. The only complaint was the air conditioning had trouble keeping up. The windows open and...
