We come to the restaurant often, especially with visiting friends.
We are always left with the impression that ecuadorean cuisine would be among the best in the world, should good chefs as Casa Gangotena's be more widespread.
Experience it, you will not regret it (and I haven't e

Such a beautiful place to stay in Quito, old but elegantly modernised. We loved staying here, the location was perfect for wandering about the picturesque old town, then we could come back to our lovely room overlooking the plaza and relax while admiring the view. Were sorry

What a fabulous place! The location is perfect, the service and attention to detail superb and the room was fabulous. Our room had the most amazing high ceilings with murals across the top. It was very unique. A great place to stay in Quito for a few days.

Can you hear church bells ringing in the middle of the night? I am a light sleeper.
I can not recall hearing them at all and I am also quite a light sleeper.

I am planning on staying at Casa Gangotena this fall and heard about the subway being built at the Plaza. I was wondering what type of inconvenience it was having the constructions across from the hotel.
The hotel is gorgeous. We heard no noise from any construction while we were there. There was also no problem with Road access around the hotel. There is a dynamite pre-Columbia museum right around the corner.

Would it be better to have a room facing the garden or the internal patio?
I will be in Quito over New Years Eve 2015-2016. Does the hotel offer a dinner/NY Eve experience? Thanks so much Jenifer
