We had booked through Agoda, however the confirmation email had incorrect dates. As we were nearby we popped in. At 3pm the place was deserted, the only member of staff available was part of the restaurant. Eventually we made ourselves understood (language barrier, no fault of the cook she was really nice, just our bad Spanish) and a member of...

- when we arrived, the only person working there was about to leave and we were lucky to catch him before. Otherwise we wouldn't have been able to enter our room. - Once we had wifi we saw a mail and a whatsapp message from the owner who wanted to know when we arrived. How many travelers have permanent internet...

I loved this place! A small, Spanish gallery style building in La Ronda, it was incredibly quiet when inside. However, outside at night the area was really alive. Loads of cheap restaurants and bars, street performers and locals participating in the best of Quito - which is fantastic. My room was extremely comfortable and clean after a minor misunderstanding early...

I did not stay at this hostel but the restaurant is in a great location, is good, great service, and very affordable. I was not sure that I wanted to eat here but I am glad that I did. I took some pics because the restaurant is in like a patio setting and the hotel is upstairs.

My boyfriend and I stayed here during one night and had an okay stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but nothing special. During our stay there was a renovation going on, because it is low season. The next morning we needed a taxi at 6:30 Am to go to the airport, to catch a flight and I e-mailed with...

Hostal la Ronda is in a great location. The staff is very nice and helpful, and the food is good. However, the room wasn't very comfortable (bed, lack of hot water/water pressure, etc.) and it is incredibly loud. They run a restaurant downstairs and you can hear everything. La Ronda (the street / barrio) is loud every night, and unfortunately...

Our transportation was waiting for us on arrival at Quito airport. We were met at the hostal by the owner (who does not speak English). Arrangements were made for breakfast and we were given our keys. We asked for and received a quiet room (silencio) at the back. Only problem was the shower which had a weird electric system so...

The hotel is located on Calle La Ronda and is perfectly situated to enjoy the old city. It’s an old building with some nice features, but mostly it’s just old. Over the weekend, there was quite a bit of noise coming from the street below as well as restaurant in the hotel courtyard. During the weekdays this was better –...

We stayed here for one night and it was awful. They gave us the keys and left. Pitch black and no staff are there to help you in what's a complicated city to navigate! Located on a loud street as well above kareoke bars so don't expect much sleep. Room was nice but they also forgot to include the airport...

We arrived, as most do, at 1AM, and were promptly met by a taxi driver, as had been promised when we made our reservation at Hostal La Ronda. Frank, our driver, instantly made us feel comfortable and welcome to this wonderful country. We awoke to a nice breakfast in the restaurant in the courtyard below our room, and Gloria, the...
