Such a cute place to stay. The owner is so lovely and helps you with everything, even Spanish lessons. Really nice and cosy made beds. Nice vibe. Smoothie blender available so we got to make our own juices. In a great spot, walking distance to everything. Definitely recommend.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in this hostel for 5 nights. it was okay. it was cheap in compare to other hostels so we couldn't expect too much. the price was 8 dollars per night including the breakfast (coffe, bread, butter and jam) we had a matrimonial room with shared bathroom. the room was pretty big and comfortable, the showers were...

Well what do you expect when you choose a cheap backpackers accommodation - you get cheap, unsavory guests. And since it’s on the street of the party scene and other close-by party areas - an even more rowdy unsavory crowd. I knew that in advance and took a single room instead, gladly paying the extra money. Room is dark and...

The beds are uncomfortable. No hot water..After complaining about the hot water which was promised when we did check in, the hostel manager checked rhw water and it was almost lukewarm, which sucks because of the cold weather in quito. The hostel is close to plaza fuch and there are many bars/night clubs in the same street- good if you...

Reserved a private room with bath. Called day before arrival to confirm room and late arrival. Arrived around 10:30 p.m. with confirmation number but were told they had no rooms. After much conversation, we were finally given a room with 1 twin bed, no room for luggage, about the size of a closet. Door had no lock, after asking, we...

The hostel was average, but the man who worked at reception made it a great place to crash for one night. there is a lot of information around the hostel which is extremely helpful. Free breakfast which we have found isnt too normal in Ecuador. Good place to stay for one or two nights. Cons matresses were quite bad and...

Upside? Cheap. Downside? No quality control, loud guests (the bad kind) late into the night. Sketchy types allowed to run all over. Paper walls in a raucous Mariscal zone. Lousy communal bathrooms. I've stayed in compromise locations elsewhere in the Mariscal. All were better.

Admittedly arriving at 2am at a hostel is never to be recommended if you want to see the hostel and surrounding area in its best light. The little time I spent here was not particularly pleasant however. The hostel was small and old and the other guests were up till the very earlier hours. The beds were comfy enough but...

The first night(30/07/2013)that we stayed at this hostal we have been robbed. They stole a very expensive camera (900 dollars) out of our room while my boyfriend was sleeping inside the room. The next day also a good flashlight dissapeared. The lock from the reception is not safe. The key of the lock fits on all the other locks, so...

“this hostel is in "New Quito". Go to "Old Quito" instead where it is much safer and cleaner. Lots of drugs, bars, and seedy folks in "New Quito". Hostal Rincon Familiar in Old Quito is 100% better for about the same price. Nice rooms and great breakfast. Quaint place in heart of Centro Quito”
