Aleida's hostel - like staying with family Elena has to be one of the most genuine and friendly hosts I have come across. The hostel is located about a 5minute walk from Baca Oritz metro station which costs 25cents and takes 10/15minutes to get into the city centre and old town. The area where the hostel is located has lots...

I stayed here as a solo female traveler for 2 weeks. Overall I had a good experience. The owner was wonderful and made sure I was safe and satisfied during my stay. The breakfast was good, albeit a little repetitive. It was still nice to have the option for free. And the location was great - on a quiet street...

Aleida's hostal has been a perfect stay for us: great location, very close to La Mariscal in a safe area, wlth a big choice of restaurants in the nearby. The old town also can be easily reached by public transport or on foot (a pleasant 40 minute walk). The hostal is very clean, with comfortable rooms and hot water and...

Tonight is our last of 7 nights. The place is immaculate, room 15 had beautiful views, and the service has been simply fantastic. Breakfasts are sumptuous, and the staff cannot do enough to help us out. Super place, super value!

We stayed for one night at Aleida's Hostal. The rooms are simple, but clean. The bathroom had some problems with water leaking from the sink onto the floor. Unfortunately there was a group of teenagers staying the same night as us, and they were partying and drinking until about 1 AM, in the rooms as well as in the hallways....

In Oct 2014 we stayed for about 10 days at Aleida's Hostal in Quito. The hostal is very pleasant, located in quiet residential neighborhood and immaculately clean. Average-sized rooms and small bathrooms -- typical for the price range. Wifi was mostly good. The hostal is located about 4 blocks from the popular Mariscal Sucre district, which could be an issue...

Elena is a real mother for their clients: advice for everything, wake-up, taxis's calling, early breakfast. Hence, the stay in her hostal is like to be at home. Good place, perfect cleanness, confort for this price: excellent.

Our family (9) stayed here in June while visiting the Galapagos, Amazon and Andean Higlands. Elena Acurio made us feel right at home and was the perfect host. When our daughter got sick she prepared soup for her. She arranged for transportation to and from the airport. It is a beautiful, comfortable and clean place and short taxi ride from...

Great place, and the owner Ellana was extremely nice and accommodating. A small breakfast is included too. It's 3 floors so be prepared to climb a few stairs in a high altitude!!! Louise picked us up from the airport and took us to the bus station and made everything go very smoothly!!! It's also near a good restaurant district as...

Elena is a wonderful host and will try to help you if she can. She doesn't speak much English but I found that we could communicate very well via Google Translate. It takes about 10 mins to walk to Mariscal Sucre/Plaza Foch and the supermarket is a few blocks away. The neighborhood itself is quiet and I felt safe here....
