I am so glad we stayed here for our quick trip to Valparaiso. Nice central location made it easy to walk everywhere. Breakfast was great which is always a huge positive. What made it even better was eating outside with one of the best views in the city! We liked it so much we had dinner there one night too- equally as enjoyable! The staff was very helpful and the location felt secure.
Excellent stay and location! There is no elevator but that did not deter us. The front desk will carry your luggage. Restaurant is delish and they know gluten free. Had dinner just a little ways down and it was excellent! So much food! They say to stay in the hill of this town and don't wander to the bottom of Valparaiso or go along the water front. If you take the bus to Valparaiso from Santiago it's safe and cheap. But take a taxi from the station or Uber and know your address of where you are going.
I absolutely loved this hotel. It was better than expected! The staff was great. The location was great. The design and decor was so amazing. It made you feel like you were really part of the city. And, maybe best of all, the hotel is attached to an outstanding restaurant. We ended up eating there almost every night. Three nights there and each one outstanding.
The ceiling heights are 10-12 feet, and gives a very spacious feel to an already generous room. Many little lobby areas on the various floors, that you can sit and read or visit in. The reception is always manned by English speaking hosts who are very helpful and friendly. The bathrooms are large, but with essentially no counter space. Everything is very clean. Breakfast upstairs in the restaurant is the best we've had in 9 days in Chile (fresh sourdough bread!) and fresh squeezed OJ. Delicious fresh coffee. Major downside is location and noise until the early morning hours. It is in a very safe and interesting neighborhood.
My lady and I are conflicted. Tremendous hotel with lots of character. We loved the view from the hotel rooftop restaurant for breakfast, and the options were great. But Friday night we literally felt the bass of the outdoor music next door until past 4am. Is this the hotel’s fault? Probably not, but it has to be mentioned, and is part of the downside of their central location
