My friends and I didn't had only drinks here. I am Belgian and it's nice to have a broad selection of excellent beer. After months of traveling I found here one of my favorite biscotti, speculaas. I asked the server one but she said she couldn't give me one, what was super sad and I felt super disappointed.

The ViaVia hotel is perfectly positioned on the hills in the prettiest, old part of Valparaiso. Of course being on a hill means a serious workout up steep steps from the road with your suitcase or down from the pedestrian lane above. The hotel is Art Deco in style and celebrates the quirks of that era. We stayed in the...

I chose to stay in this place instead of my usual place (hotel montealegre) in Valparaiso because of the excellent reviews and location. The location and service are great, but the room left a lot to desire. I only had a small twin bed and the room was tiny. It wasn't very private either. When I booked it, in the...

We were very lucky the Viavia guys helped us out when we were looking for a room the nights before the new year's fireworks. We spent one night in a single room where they added an extra bed and another night in the loft. Food was great and I really liked to sit on the terrace there. Touristy Valparaiso was...

ViaVia is in a fabulous location, right in the center of the best tourist part of town. When my taxi dropped me off the owner met me and carried my bag up the steps to the hotel and then up the steps to my room, I didn't even ask him to, he's awesome. The owner is very welcoming and very...

You can enjoy a good selection of prime Belgian beers and dishes! Meatballs in tomato sauce was delicious. Try also the cheese croquettes! Friendly personnel who speak Dutch. Cosy and nice place. I only visited the restaurant.

My wife and I recently spent two weeks traveling around Chile, and our stay at ViaVia hotel and cafe' in Valparaiso was a highlight. The owners (Wilson and Awol) went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. This was especially meaningful for us as we were away from home for the holidays;...

This was by far the best stay. The breakfast wasn't basic and it was special. No I'm not gonna discribe it, you have to see for yourself. The rooms were clean en beacause it had art deco furniture again something different from the rest. Ofcourse the mix of Belgian beer and food style with de chilean way gave everything a...

Safe, Clean, comfortable/functional room/hotel. Owners/staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Wifi is reliable and fast. I got the room with (private) bathroom just outside my room door and found it to be acceptable (especially for the price). The other rooms seemed to have the bathroom in the room. My taxi from bus terminal to hotel was 6000pesos/5000 return to bus terminal....

This hotel was lovely. Beautiful Art Deco style, curved Windows, nice big room, balcony with views across Valparaiso. Right in the centre of the cool & trendy 'grafitti' area with lots of restaurants & bars around and good coffee! Easy walk to the commercial area for anything you may need and easy access to the Ascenions (which you should ride)....
