Loved the cosmopolitan vibe, the people, transport and the tours. Visited Valparaiso and I loved the city especially the artistic side, it's grafiti was one of the highlights of my trip. The wally tours was fun, full of vibrancy and insight. Overall loved the trip.

Great location, close to bars and restaurants in a funky part of town. The beds were really comfy and quite large singles. Party hostel if you want it to be, depending on the crowd and the staff don't monitor the noise. It's very cold, old wooden floor boards haven't been maintained and the draft through. Also have to wash you're...

We had a fantastic stay at the very hospitable La Chimba! All the staff were particularly friendly, helpful and fun‎! The kitchens encourage use and are well maintained by the friendly cleaners as are the rooms and bathrooms. We highly recommend staying at La Chimba, so much so that we extended our stay from 6 nights to 17. We met...

Great location, near the bars during the night. However during the day it's close to San Christobal and walking distance to many of the top barrios. The rooms were simple but comfortable. They hold weekly nights out which is nice when looking to meet people

I had fun at La Chimba. The common room is nice and cozy with couches facing each other; very conducive to social engagement, so I met plenty of people as a solo traveller. The common room is 4.5/5. However, the floors are very squeaky and make so much noise, enough to wake someone up quite easily. The kitchens are dirty...

Enjoyed my stay here. The staff were helpful and other travellers friendly. Having two kitchens was a big advantage as we enjoyed cooking with more room. Lively at night but not too much to annoy you if you fancy a quieter evening. Breakfasts were basic but adequate for a hostel. Overall, I would recommend staying here because of the location...

Friendly service and cool atmosphere but not up to all other hostels' standard so has to be a 3. Bed was warm and comfy, but there was hair (a lot) on the sheets. Breakfast was very basic and some plates weren't clean. Has buzz access and we always felt safe, but the street across is a bit dodgy (guy bleeding,...

The hostel is well located in the bellavista area. The building and amenities are ok. There are chairs/sofas to stay and hang out but I have seen way better environments in other other hostels. The beds are old and not very comfortables. There are not enough plugs to charge phones or computers. The showers has good hot water. The service...

Cool space! The hostel was spacious and designed for young travelers, complete with a bar and plenty of couches. The staff was helpful, assisting me with any questions I had about travel in and around Santiago. Everything was clean, with the exception of water covering our bathroom floor. Functional wifi and breakfast included. Would definitely recommend!

La Chimba was one of our favourite hostels! It's right in Bellavista, next to lots of restaurants and bars which is really convenient. The rooms are nice, showers are hot with high pressure, and staff are helpful. The common area makes it really easy to meet other travellers as well- nice, fun vibe. Kitchen is clean and well-maintained. Would definitely...
