Much like any other tourist class hotel catering for tour groups. Evening restaurant was very good with some regional dishes, staff very helpful. The 6th floor outdoor swimming pool is very small with a tiny area for pre-dinner drinks or snacks. The hotel would benefit from refurbishment. Rooms on the street are noisy from numerous bus terminals. Santiago is NOT...

The hotel is in a very good location in old Santiago but for the price it is very dated and tired. We were booked to stay at the property twice and changed our second reservation. We had no issues with staff and the room was clean but it is in need of some new mattresses (the bed was saggy) and...

For facilities in the room this hotel is very dated, I think the bed and mattress have been here since the hotel opened too many years ago, they have no bed boards to put under the mattress The air-conditioning does not work it is cooler outside than in our room The service at the front desk is less than adequate...

We stayed here recently with a group following a trip to Antarctica. PROs:- 1) Location. In the centre of the city although some sketchy looking streets nearby. 2) Beds were comfortable. Room was clean although dated & dark with poor lighting. 3) Breakfast was included although very standard. Breakfast room staff were attentive. 4) There was a safe in the...

Stayed here with my wife for 3 nights as part of a commercial South America tour group from the UK. Very good position close to banks and the market place in the centre of town. 100 metres from Santa Lucia metro station and convenient for shops and restaurants. Comfortable, clean and spacious room. Good breakfast.

We arrived on the 14th February and after reading many reviews I was anxious. Reception staff were helpful and we were given our room which was in the back of the hotel so was quiet, however the air con did not work and the temp. Was 29c in the room. Eventually maintenance man came and resolved the problem. So far...

A couple of enjoyable days at the Galerias. Right in the centre of town with access to all historical buildings, restaurants and some of the best street performances I have seen. Although the building is old it has retained the looks of the old era. The room was spacious, the furnishings ok and the bed quite comfortable. The buffet breakfast...

Room was on 11th floor street side. A little noisy from traffic, but didn't keep us awake. Restauraunt food is good. Free buffet breakfast was nicer than just continental. Room was so-so, needs updating.

No aircon in the rooms. You can Rent a Fan. No charge. You can rent a Fridge, they stook it with drinks. Which they charge 600 pesos a bottle. 1.20 aud. You can get your laundry done. 20.000 pesos about 40 aud. Which is a Rip off. But as i was off to Patagonia the next day. Not much choice....

It is not a luxurious place and it is not located in the new sophisticated neighborhoods of Santiago but it is very central. Don't expect too much service nor help from the staff, they just don't care about you. The breakfast is good and the rooms are quiet and well furbished.
