A small B and B very close to Republica metro station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast of fruit, fresh bread roles and eggs. Denis, the manager, is knowledgeable suggesting places to go and areas of the city to explore. Rooms are big and airy. Sometimes a bit noisy at night. Enjoyed our stay.

The hotel itself is great. The location is also good, close to the Republica transit and some good restaurants in the Barrio Brazil. The staff is great. However, there are musicians right outside sometimes, so if you want it quiet, be sure to get a room away from the street.

Monica does everything with a smile and Dennis and his wife run a very nice place. Substantial breakfast, very responsive and helpful. Rooms 2 and 3 are off the street and therefore pretty quiet and room 2 is HUGE with a king size bed and room 3 is big with a king. The only downside is the old floors in...

I really enjoyed the hospitality here at Casa Bonita. it's close to the metro and some really nice restaurants. It was HOT when we were there and there was no air conditioning. But they supply a fan in every room. if you are looking to get away from the commercialism of chain hotels - this is a nice alternative.

We unfortunately stayed only 1 night before heading to Valparaiso for a cruise. We were surprised that the location was so quiet because the B&B was on a side street off of Avenido General O'Higgins and around the corner from the Republic subway. The host and staff were attentive. We stayed in a twin room at the top of the...

We had difficulty finding this place--please note that this is the PASAJE REPUBLICA, not the main street. The owner and staff were very nice and the place was clean. It is easy to get on the Metro from here. (The Metro is very easy to use to get around Santiago). Although the hotel is off the main drag, there is...

This B&B is conveniently located from the airport and one minute from the Republica Metro station. The staff is very friendly, quite helpful and the breakfast is well rounded and nutritious. I would stay again without hesitation.

We stayed one night and really enjoyed this place. First of all, the staff is absolutely amazing. They do their job beyond perfect. Everything. The front desk, breakfast - the service is impeccable. This is an old building, beautifully restored with a lot of character. Really loved that. I don't need to say everything is perfectly clean and the breakfast...

We found the rooms to be small but clean with everything we needed, and shop nearby for anything we forgot like soap, shampoo etc. room included a safe, TV, clean towels daily, free tea and coffee downstairs, probably lacking a fan and hair drier. The staff were friendly, nice communal areas, interesting building, good breakfast and close to Metro for...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa Bonita is an old house restored as a bed & breakfast. It is a National Monument located in a protected historical neighbourhood in the center of Santiago. Casa Bonita has a high historical value for Chile since it used to belong to the well known Vicaria de la Solidaridad del Arzobispado de Santiago, a foundation created in 1976 aiming to protect and defend human rights during the Military Regime. The Vicaria supported 984 cases and operated during the entire Military Regime. It closed in 1992. Casa Bonita offers a cosy environment with well furnished rooms, new and modern bathrooms, a comfortable living and dining room, a lovely interior garden and an internet room with free access. Casa Bonita is personally run by its owners (a Dutch-Chilean marriage) aiming to provide its guests with a quality service for a fair price. Due to its location and infrastructure, Casa Bonita is oriented to both tourists and business people. ... more   less
