I stayed there with my parents for 3 nights and we were happy with our decision. Casa Azul is a beautiful wooden house with a comfortable, homey dining room/common area. Our room was cleaned on a daily basis and the bathrooms were very clean as well. For an additional cost you can have a delicious breakfast with bread, cheese, ham,...

Starting with the positive! The rooms were clean and had comfortable beds. Plenty of hot water for the showers. Housekeeping staff was friendly. The housekeeper's dog was cute and friendly. The downside - The website description does not match up with our experience. Rooms were cold and kitchen was very limited. Only a stove top for all to use. No...

We had decided on short notice to come here and it was the right decision. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean, the staff is nice and the beds are probably the most comfortable ones I have slept in in a hostel. It's not located in the center of everything, but you can reach the center of Puerto Varas after just...

My brother, husband, and I stayed in a room for 2 nights. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. The rooms have very comfortable beds. The owner was very hospitable and even made room for our vehicle to be parked in their small garage area. The kitchen and dining area is very clean with a home-y atmosphere and we were...

I was very disappointed with Casa Azul. Upon arrival we were dumped in the attic , a very small and dingy space with a distinct smell of dampness. Moreover, the bathrooms had the most bizarre smell of salami. The tour although pleasant was a rip off and one of the staff (the younger blonde guy) was rather rude. Furthermore, some...

This is a strange opinion, I think all readers will understand what I mean if you read our other opinions. This man wrote one year after he stayed in out hostel? After one year he remember about salami smell in our bathrooms? Well, for your informacion, we still don´t store salami in our bathrooms .... Funny think is that in...

A lovely place to base myself for a bit of exploring in the area - beautiful, with such attention to the little details that make life easy here. For example, the knives in the kitchen are sharp (Does this ever happen in other hostels?) and each bed has a convenient plastic storage drawer for your groceries with plenty of room....

I shopped around almost every budget choices by foot in Varas before choose casa azul. It's the best value in Varas. Cheap, Clean, good facilities and friendly staffs. very well-run place. not in the center but Varas is small, just 10 minutes walk, and close to walmart and bus station. Dorm room is a little bit small, but bathrooms is...

This place is located a bit outside of town, 10-15 minutes to walk. Its a clean and nice hostel. The house has a lot of wood. The common area is nice to relax. The staff is friendly and really helpful. Take care, usually good booked, you cant show up. Make a resevation.

Thank you for your friendly opinion about Casa Azul. Let me just please rectify some little things ... wouldn't say that Casa Azul is out of town, this is just 7 min. walk to main square ... Yes, in summer time it is better to make reservation, but even in winter we are open and you can just come around...

I stayed just two nights there in one of the single room. It was perfect. The room was big enough for all my gear, it was super quiet, the bed extra comfy, very clean, nice architecture with wooden walls, it felt a bit like being in a swiss chalet. I loved the vibes. Everything is very well maintained. The staff...

This place has everything you would want from a hostel. Internet, living room, great kitchen, thousands of bathrooms, clean rooms, comfy beds. Really cannot fault this hostel. It is nicely located in town, and offers some information about touristy things to do.
